EMERGENCY!! SW PTSA cannot continue without your help!

The Nominating Committee needs your help identifying our leaders for next year. Elections will be held at our next General Membership Meeting on May 6th, 2026. By April 20th, we will publish the slate of candidates, but we need your suggestions in order to fill that slate!

You can nominate yourself or another person for one of the following roles:

President (or Co-presidents)
Vice President (or Co-VPs)*
Secretary*
Treasurer *

*These roles currently have no candidates

Nominating yourself or someone else isn't a promise - it is an opportunity for us to reach out and have a conversation about whether or not the role would be a good fit. If you ask most PTA leaders how they got started, they will tell you that someone else suggested they try a position. Help us by making that suggestion to someone you know today!

Don't have a lot of experience? No problem! You will have support and training available, along with current and past members who have done the jobs before.

Click here to find the nomination form. Nominations are due Monday, April 20th. If you have any questions, please contact the Nominating Committee at [email protected].

Thank you for your consideration - without you, we cannot continue offering staff grants and other supports for students in our community!

This morning, thanks to our SW PTSA members, we were able to deliver DECA Dollars as thank yous to 46 teachers and Career Counselor.

These teachers wrote 220 (!) letters of recommendation for Shorewood Seniors. That's extra time and commitment outside of the classroom.

We hope this small gesture demonstrates the appreciation Shorewood HS families have for our dedicated teachers!

Please consider this volunteer opportunity in our Shoreline PTA community!

Washington legislators are promoting the Millionaire Tax as education funding. We'd like to support it but intent is not enough. The bill needs legal language that sends the funds to K-12 ed.
Meanwhile, Governor Ferguson's budget proposes nearly $100M in K-12 cuts.
Shoreline PTA Council is asking you to go to a town hall, send a letter to your legislators, or both. Tell them: amend the Millionaire Tax to actually fund schools, invest in MSOC, and reject K-12 cuts.
Town halls this weekend and Monday. Letter linked below!
THANK YOU
