🚨The City of Shoreline is alerting community members to a recent scam in which individuals are receiving fraudulent emails that appear to come from the City’s Planning Commission. The emails claim that recipients have an outstanding invoice that they must pay by wire transfer. The emails and invoices are both fraudulent.

Please note: The City of Shoreline will NEVER ask you to make payment by wire transfer. Permit payments are only accepted through our eTRAKiT Permit Portal; when you call us to make a payment by phone; or in person with a credit card or check.

🗳 October 8 – CityLearn: Understanding Voting Systems
6:30–8:30 p.m.
Shoreline City Hall Council Chambers, 17500 Midvale Ave N

Learn how Washington’s voting system works, how votes become elected representation, and more about the state’s initiative process. Representatives from the City of Shoreline, King County Elections, and FairVote WA will join the conversation. In-person attendance is encouraged, with virtual participation available for those who register in advance. Shoreline

🇺🇸 October 22 – Constitution Day Series: Running for Local Office

Curious about what it takes to run for local office? This session will explore what local elected service entails, how volunteer and community experience can help prepare someone for public office, and perspectives from people who have run for office in Shoreline and King County.

After 10 incredible years, it’s time to say goodbye to Sweet Pearl Bakery 💕🧁

There are so many emotions that come with writing those words. What started as a little bakery became so much more than that. It became a place where I got to know your names, celebrate your birthdays, make your cakes, share countless laughs, and be part of so many moments in your lives. I will forever be grateful for every order, every visit, every conversation, every hug, and every person who came by. You helped make Sweet Pearl what it was—and I will carry those memories with me always.

And now… it’s time for a New Chapter! ✨
While the bakery chapter is coming to a close, I’m not going very far. I’m taking everything I’ve loved about Sweet Pearl — the community, local favorites, homes, gardens, recipes, connection, and a little bit of everyday inspiration — and bringing it with me into something new:
