Attn all tweens, teens, and grown-ups who care for them. For the teens who sell their art thru us and the volunteers heading off to college, this event is inspired by you.

We're partnering with BECU to share content relevant to ensuring your hard earned money stays protected. As parents ourselves, this hits home for us, too. The info shared is based on questions and concerns we have, too.

Art teachers are truly a special kind of awesome -am I right?! I spent the morning at Shorecrest as a judge for the photography entries for their art show. I'm so grateful for the opp. The halls were filled with talent and passion and it took me well over an hour to take it all in and make the hard decisions for my votes.

What hit me the most is knowing how much the art teacher has to do with a massively talented body of work like this one. It's the art teacher who builds trust and provides a healthy space to try new things for students to express themselves and create, and then enable their art to shine bright.

Mrs. Drew (yes, really her name) was that art teacher for me. Mr. Mitchell's that teacher at Shorecrest. My kids had Mr. Ballew -And I know they're not alone. Laura King and all the art teachers in our district are an inspiration. We are so fortunate to have yall. Thank you for what you do!

About the photo. My first camera was a Petri. I bought it in high school at a pawn shop with my babysitting money. I couldn't wait to be the next Ansel Adams -until I learned about Cindy Sherman and then I wanted to be her.

Thank you again art teachers!! Rock on Shoreline art kids, too!

Listen Here! There's a new local teen band showcase in town so mark your calendara for Saturday, June 27th.

If your band members are under 21 or you know a youth band, this is for you! All genres welcome.

Band submissions are now open until May 31.

We're honored that we can say we're 37 years strong and have grown our ability to keep 97% our 40+ year-round programs and events free. This is possible thanks to your support.

We throw our heART into making our annual fundraiser a memorable event. This year, our local chapter of the American Sewing Guild has put together a collection of their reimagined and upcycled designs to inspire creativity in us all.

We had a blast at our 10th annual Shoreline Short Short Film Festival! Thank you to all the directors, those seen here and those who submitted, for sharing your talent and stories with us. To the film crews and actors, our hats off to you, too.
