A HUGE shoutout and thank you to The California Endowment for investing in Redemption Ride Equine Foundation and the work we’re building in our community! ❤️🐴🐾

Because of this investment, we are now able to:

🐴 Provide up to 60 equine wellness sessions, using groundwork and connection with horses to teach grounding, emotional regulation, confidence, and resilience.

🐴 Expand and improve our facilities so we can safely house and work with more mustangs as part of our wellness programming.

🐾 Launch Pawsitive Spirit, bringing therapy dogs into local schools to support students through connection, social-emotional learning, literacy, and positive school engagement.

🌲 And most importantly, vastly expand the number of children, families, and community members we can reach.

This is what investment in rural communities looks like: turning funding into fencing, programs, animals, access, and real opportunities for connection and healing.

Thank you, The California Endowment, for believing in Redemption Ride and helping us turn a vision into something our community can actually touch, experience, and grow from.

And yes, the horses have already inspected the new equipment. 😂🐴

We invested in the goggles.
Nobody warned us about the biohazard on the passenger window.

Today feels like one of those days that reminds you why you keep showing up.

Redemption Ride Equine Foundation has been blessed with a grant award that will allow us to continue building the infrastructure needed to serve our community. While I can’t share all of the details just yet, I can say this: this investment will help us create a safer, stronger foundation for the work ahead.

Over the past year, we’ve dreamed about round pens, safer fencing, improved facilities, therapy dog programming, equine-assisted wellness, and creating a place where children, veterans, and families can find healing, confidence, and connection. Today, those dreams feel a whole lot more attainable.

None of this happens alone.

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged us, donated, volunteered, shared our posts, bought a children’s book, believed in our mission, or simply cheered us on when things were difficult. Every bit of support has helped us reach this moment.

We’re just getting started.

Here’s to building something that will serve Shasta County for years to come. ❤️🐴🐶

As the craziness of county fair and showing market animals slows down on the homefront it's time to get back in the focus of building our organization again. We have raised a pig to raffle off and are selling tickets for a whole custom butchered pig. Tickets are $10 or buy 2 get 1 free. Help us reach our goal for some new fencing and veterinary consultation for our sweet Foxy's growth.

A Horse Can...

Teach a boy with anger problems how to live a gentler life.

Take a guy with a severe lack of patience and show him the how and why to slow down, that it will take as long as it takes.

Give him a safe place to vent when the world doesn't want to hear him.

Give a man a quiet way to grieve with a shoulder to cry on when the world tells him to toughen up.

Give a man a way to get away from the craziness of life.

Teach a man how to be so strong yet have the ability to control his power.

Allow a man a means to feed his family.

Provide an example of stoicism and what it means to stick with a job until it's done and dig in when life gets hard.

Well, we went out to check the horses that have been out to pasture for the last few months to discover our sweet Foxy has developed a large sacaroid on her abdomen. This large lesion will likely require surgery. At first we though maybe a stray bullet from a hunter had hit her. She could use a to aid in her medical care.

Foxy is our go to for kids. She came from a family that was moving and has helped so many hurt hearts in her life. She can be mean as it gets to adult riders; walking them into trees, refusing to move, even the occasional crow kick but if she has a kid she is the best behaved gal on the farm. Foxy has a forever home.
