Tonight was the culmination of an idea formed in 2007 and completed with the ribbon cutting opening of the track at the Oswayo Valley Middle-High School. Many, many people had their part in making this a reality. What a beautiful facility for our students and our community. THANK YOU!

T.R.A.C.K. Members,
I received an email from Bill Howard today saying that the school plans on having a ribbon cutting ceremony at the first track meet on Tuesday, April 6th.
The school has asked we supply one member that will be involved with the ceremony.
I was thinking Mike Filer would be an obvious choice since it was his brainchild.
Please attend if you can and stick around to watch the meet if you like. We can always use help.
I believe the ceremony should start around 4 p.m. Bill can let us know the details.
Mike- Let us know if you’re willing to be the one to be in the ceremony.
We can always have Jenn race Mike in the 100M dash.

Yup, You can believe it!!!! After so many years, the Oswayo Valley has a track to be proud of. Painting is complete and will be ready to walk on in a few days. Being so involved with this project over the years, this actually brings tears to my eyes. So many great people were participants in this effort from the members of T.R.A.C.K. to the hundred, if not thousands, who participated in our fund raisers. THANK YOU GREATER OSWAYO VALLEY COMMUNITY!

Scotty would say, "Captain, there be a track surface here!" Check out that beautiful running surface. Not sure if there is anything else to do yet before it gets painted but it sure is looking good.

The track is all paved and just about ready to have the running surface applied. Check out all the materials just waiting for the application day. It can't come soon enough for so many people.

I know it has been a while since I posted about the big announcement. I am sorry. Life gets in the way sometimes.

Drum Roll please ............................

The long awaited track completion is underway!!!! After more than a decade of fundraising with 250 Parties, building and raffling off a log cabin, countless chicken BBQ's, Christmas Trees, extension cords, and so much more the, T.R.A.C.K. organization, at our April 2019 meeting, to turn over our remaining funds to the Oswayo Valley School District.

The Oswayo Valley School District is the recipient of funds from the William and Margaret Norton Fund and will combine our $85,476.76 with that to complete the final surfacing and striping of the track. We have been told that work on the track might be complete as early at the end of June 2019.

All the current and former members of T.R.A.C.K.would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all the folks inside and outside of the Oswayo Valley for your generous support over the years. It certainly was a wild ride. We look forward to years of successful track meet competition as well as community use of the completed track facility.
