2026 SYSBA Skills Assessment
Baseball Majors (Little League) AND Softball Majors

BASEBALL – Anyone who signed up to play baseball can come to the skills assessment that would like to try out for the Little League team, whose Little League Baseball age is between 9-12.
· 1st Assessment: Thursday April 2, 2026 (weather permitting) 5-7pm
· Possible 2nd Assessment: Friday April 3, 2026 (weather permitting) 5-7pm

SOFTBALL – Anyone who signed up to play softball can come to the skills assessment that would like to try out for the Majors team, whose Little League Softball age is between 9-12.
· 1st Assessment: Wednesday, April 1, 2026 (weather permitting) 5-7pm
· Possible 2nd Assessment: Monday, April 6, 2026, 5-7 pm

Please don’t forget that registration prices increase after March 15th from $30 to $50.

Nice work on the Baseball registration! Overall, we are in good shape, just a few more players for Senior League Baseball and we will be all set.

Tee Ball – 14
Coach Pitch (Minor Coach Pitch) – 18

Jr. LL (Minor Player Pitch) – 21, with 13 of them eligible to try out for LL!!!
LL (Majors) – 7
Senior - 9

Softball still needs players at all divisions. We will hold skills assessments just like baseball to see where to appropriately place these girls in the correct division, given we have enough signups. We would really hate to only offer a Minor only team, or Major only team based on signups. Please spread the word, and get these girls signed up to have some softball fun!
