SHINER: William H. (Bill) Bradfield, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 8, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on August 18, 1934, in Muncie, Indiana, to Leona Rose Colegrove and Herbert Henry Bradfield.

Yesterday Shiner Rotarian Bill Bradfield was called home. Bill had a life of service to his country and community in the Army and with Rotary across the globe. For the Shiner Rotary Club, Bill was the rock of our club. He was a kind and witty man but wasn’t afraid to make sure you knew his opinion about things. He was a leader, a mentor, a storyteller and most of all our friend. In true fashion, Bill passed away just before our Wednesday meeting making it one of the very few Rotary meetings he’s ever missed in over 55 years of being a Rotarian. Bill will be sorely missed in our small but active club. His shoes will be difficult to fill, but his legacy will live on.
Rest high on that mountain friend.

The Rotary of Shiner joined many other organizations, families and individuals in celebrating National Night Out yesterday evening. It was a fantastic event and we are very thankful to all of those who coordinated it and participated in it.

The Shiner Rotary was honored to have Coach Daniel Boedeker join us for lunch today. Coach Boedeker drops in every year to discuss the up coming season and how the teams are shaping up. It’s always good to hear what he has to say!

This weekend the Rotary Club of Shiner and the Texas Ramp Project organization built a ramp for a deserving Shiner resident. We had a great time and had a lot of help from some of our local youth. Great job team!!!

The Rotary Club of Shiner was honored to present scholarships to some of the Seniors of Shiner High School this evening. The future is bright for these young men and women. We appreciate them applying for our scholarship and wish them many blessings in the years to come.

We had a great meeting today. Some soon to be graduates joined us and Keri gave an educational and inspiring talk on the ownership, care, utility and friendships that chickens provide.
