🚒🍝 30 YEARS?! LET’S CELEBRATE!

It’s hard to believe, but we’re celebrating our 30th Annual Meatball Dinner & Silent Auction! And we couldn’t have made it this far without the incredible support of our AMAZING community!

For 30 years, this event has been about more than meatballs—it’s about community, friendship, laughter and supporting the volunteers who are here when you need us.

Special shoutout to our assistant chief, Greg, for volunteering his time yesterday to help with the Kids Carnival at the Annual Lake George Blueberry Festival. Thank you, Greg, for lending a hand and representing our department so well! 🚒

Don’t forget about the Lake George Fire Department’s Pancake Feed that’s going on right now until 11:00am. 🥞 It's a great way to enjoy a delicious meal while supporting a fellow volunteer fire department and all they do for their community!

We were humbled by the outstanding community turnout and the overwhelming amount of positive feedback, encouragement, and support shown for our volunteer fire department. Seeing so many residents come together in support of the department and the firefighters who proudly serve this community was truly inspiring.

Tonight is the night!
The future of our volunteer fire department depends on our community. The State of Minnesota requires a vote of the township residents to continue operating our fire department, and your vote matters more than ever!

Please note: Only Itasca Township residents are eligible to vote. If you have an elderly neighbor, friend, or family member who may need a ride, please consider giving them a call and offering to bring them to the meeting. A simple act of kindness can make sure every eligible resident has the opportunity to have their voice heard.

Our volunteer firefighters are your neighbors, friends, and family members who answer the call when emergencies happen. We encourage every eligible resident to attend and make your voice heard.

🌞 🥵 Extreme Heat Safety Reminder 🥵
With extreme heat predicted this week, please take care of yourselves, your family, and your pets. Stay cool, drink plenty of water, and avoid prolonged time outdoors during the hottest part of the day whenever possible.
Know the signs and symptoms of heat-related illnesses such as heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Recognizing the warning signs early can prevent a medical emergency.
Stay safe, check on neighbors who may need assistance, and never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle—even for a few minutes.

Tonight our department had the opportunity to train with Clearwater County Sheriff’s Deputy Clarence LaCroix, focusing on radio communication and coordination.
Strong communication is critical in emergency response, and we’re grateful for the time, knowledge, and support that help keep our teams working together effectively when it matters most.
A big thank you to Deputy LaCroix and the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office for partnering with us and helping us sharpen our skills.
We appreciate the continued collaboration in serving and protecting our community. 🚒
