The 2025 WSMLA Match and the NMLRA Oregon Territorial are a wrap! Lots of shooting and jawing with old friends… Medals, ribbons, dollar coins and a few plaques were awarded to worthy participants. We are already looking forward to July 2026!

Western States Muzzle Loaders Association began in 1973 as an organization supporting and promoting competitive shooting of muzzle loader fi****ms in the western United States. WSMLA is a a Charter Club of the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association.

On the evening of Monday, March 10th, Dan Carroll passed away after a short illness. We lost a good friend and a great competitor. Pictures are from the latest Muzzle Blasts and Dan's accomplishments at last year's Territorials.

On November 22nd, Jerry Tinker died peacefully at home. As a lifelong competitive muzzleloader, Jerry was traveling the west, the nation and even internationally competing. He was rarely missed a WSMLA event. Jerry is survived by his wife Marlene of 69 years. RIP Jerry...
