Hey Friar Trotters… There are big things afoot in the future of the Friar Trot!

The Friar Trot was founded as a fund raiser for St. Francis school and since its inception was run by Jennifer Vranizan. As most of you know, sadly Jennifer passed away in June of 2014. Going forward the Friar Trot is transforming into a memorial run for Jennifer and a fund raiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

With the change of the primary benefactor comes a great deal of additional change. The good news is; the run will remain in Sherwood but will have a change in location of the Start / Finish as well as upgrades in the entire event. All of these changes require a great deal of planning and hours of volunteer work. The bad news is it will take an entire year to reinvent the Friar Trot and we have to take 2016 off. Work has already begun on the all-new 2017 Friar Trot! Stay tuned and as we get closer we’ll keep you updated.

We are at Road Runner Sports Tualatin until 8 tonight! Come pick up your packets or register for the race- avoid the lines tomorrow & get a chance to put your raffle ticket in for the prize of your choice!
Only those that come to Road Runner will get a raffle ticket!

With just 2 days until our big event, the Friar Trot team would like to give A BIG THANK YOU to all of our amazing sponsors that are making this event possible this year and many that have made it possible throughout previous years!
It's through their generosity and support of the community that Non-Profits like ours, can have such an amazing opportunity to hold such a fun event like the Friar Trot and raise money for the school kids!
