Okay, Oregon friends... look at this handsome BIG BOY! 😍

We are helping our friends at Best Friends of Baker, Inc. in Baker City, Oregon spread the word about Buddha, a gorgeous young Staffy mix who is looking for his forever family.

Buddha is only about 1 year old and 65 pounds, and underneath all those muscles is a big, affectionate, goofy sweetheart. ❤️

He came into rescue as an unclaimed stray, but he hasn't let his past dampen his spirit. Buddha LOVES people, toys, walks, playing and wrestling with his foster dog siblings. He's energetic and playful, but he's also learning how to settle down and enjoy his quiet time. He sleeps peacefully in his crate at night and is making great progress with his leash manners and recall.

Because Buddha has shown interest in chasing squirrels, chipmunks and livestock, a home without small animals would probably be the best fit. He would likely LOVE kids, but because he's a big, enthusiastic young guy, he could accidentally knock over very small children during play.

Buddha is still young and learning, but he has SO much potential. He just needs someone willing to give a big goofy rescue dog the chance he deserves. 🥹❤️

Quinn is located at Del Norte County Animal Control in Crescent City CA just south of the Oregon border. Volunteers for Dogs of Del Norte County (on Facebook and Instagram) travel at least twice a month along the I-5 all the way to Vancouver, Washington conducting meet and greets in Oregon and Washington for those who have submitted an adoption application (you can foster to adopt as well). Get your application in now, the next transport is scheduled for July 19!

Quinn is a water dog and enjoys time in the play yard. She has found her favorite thing in the world…a green ball that she likes to take with her everywhere. She needs to be in a home with no cats, small livestock or little dogs. Everyone loves a brindle girl.

Quinn came to us as a stray with severe skin issues that have since healed. She will need quality non-chicken protein food and flea treatment. This girl is something else. She will make you smile, make you laugh, and make you shake your head with her antics. She rocked her kid testing and has been dog friendly. She still acts very puppyish and when excited will jump up and be nippy so will need training in this area. She also needs to learn house manners. She enjoys a good spa day and rode nicely in the backseat if a car with a safety restraint.

COURTESY POST! Rambo is located at Del Norte County Animal Control in Crescent City CA, just south of Brookings OR. Volunteers travel north all the way to Vancouver, WA at least twice a month conducting meet and greets along the way for those who have submitted an adoption application. Dogs of Del Norte County

Rambo is a brindle boy and has one speed…full throttle! He loves his people, any ball, and his rope toy. Rambo will give you some back talk or let you know when he needs your attention. He is potty trained and needs to work on his leash manners. We will be testing him with dogs and will keep you posted.

My name is Enzo, and if there was an Olympics event for sheer silliness, I’d win the gold medal for sure! 🥇 I’m an (almost!) year and a half old pitbull mix, weighing in at 40 pounds of loving goof. I’m a natural extrovert, and I’ll do anything it takes to wiggle my way into the heart of every new human I meet. And I really mean wiggle, with my whole body, snout to tail!

I love walking on a leash, but I don’t really trust other dogs and want my space. When it comes to humans though, I’ll take all the scritches and lovin’s I can get! 340 DAYS! That’s how long Bernie has been at the shelter 😭

BERNIE HAS BEEN AT THE SHELTER FOR 340 DAYS. This is too long!! Bernie has been waiting. And waiting. And waiting some more. This beautiful 4 year old Mastiff mix is the longest-stay resident, and honestly, it’s hard to understand why. Bernie is a 100-pound bundle of love, resilience, and quiet devotion who is more than ready to trade her kennel for a couch.

Bernie is shy at first, but give her a little time and trust, and she will absolutely melt into you. Once you’re “her person,” she’s all in: loyal, affectionate, and happiest with her big, beautiful head resting on you. Truly, it’s one of life’s simple joys.

Hi, I’m Frankie!
I’m a 3 year old male pit bull/Lab mix with a big heart (and a big, sometimes clumsy body to match). I get along great with other dogs and even cats!

My kennel is my safe place, especially if I get startled by sudden loud noises. When I need a little reset or get overstimulated, that's where you should tell me to go. I already know several basic commands and I’m a quick learner, especially when treats are involved!

I’m currently working on improving my leash manners and getting comfortable with a muzzle, and I’m making great progress. I need patience and kindness. I do well out in public and would love to be your sidekick on all your adventures. Whether it’s exploring the outdoors, playing at the park, or just hanging out at home, I’m happy as long as I’m with you.

I love toys (especially the kind I can “de-stuff”), enjoy mental stimulation, and I’m always up for a cozy snuggle on the couch. I’m fully house-trained and respectful in the home. I don’t potty inside or chew on things I shouldn’t.

Since I’m kennel trained, I can comfortably be left alone for 6-8 hours during the day. I’m neutered, healthy, and have no known allergies.
