We are very close to finishing this job up. Well atleast until phase 9 as the homeowner puts it 🤣🤣🤣. I could write a book about this job but I'll keep it short. Started in July of 2022. Game plan was a stamped back patio with a fire pit area. Then after that a stamped patio to the front entrance but that was maybe going to wait till the following year. The entire property is on a hill overlooking the Susquehanna. Elevations and getting everything to end up where it needed to be was going to be a challenge. Back patio goes in with a set of steps leading up towards the front yard but trying to get everything graded because of the drop off so it would not have to be pushed mowed would have taken probably enough fill to put Liverpool below sea level 🤣. So the homeowners decide that a retaining wall and extending the patio would be best. Very wet while this was happening. Heavy downpours what seemed like 3 times a week. Me and my help were bouncing back and forth trying to keep somewhat of a schedule, going from job to job, pouring 2 times a day in between the weather. The wall guys come in and pour the retaining wall. Somewhere in between there we knocked out the front patio. Walls in, patio is extended and we start on the stone. We're now in December and weather is changing. What's next? How about a garage and another radius retaining wall. The garage dropped off about 8 feet from the highside, another fun challenge. We are now in March of 23. More rain, heavy again. Keeping water out of the garage during normal rain fall was going to be stressful enough because everything ran towards it, plus eventually a blacktop drive was going in and so the water wasn't going to be slowed down. Foundations up, slab poured, retaining wall laid, concrete caps poured, stone being laid throughout June and July. Odds and ends now. Drains, small sidewalks, etc. Driveway gets blacktoped, now we lay stone till it gets to cold. 2024. Finish up little bit of stone that couldn't be laid. Homeowners decided to add a fence around patio and on upper retaining wall so needed to lay up a few more columns. Fence looks awesome. The upper one has lighting under the caps. What a huge difference from how everything was. Still have a few small things that need finished but pretty much good till the next phase hahaha. Lots of pictures.
