🦁👓 Today’s Program: Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center

Today, Sherman Noon Lions Club welcomed a special presentation on the District 2-E2 Eyeglass Recycling Center (ERC). The program was a combined effort between District Governor-Elect Lion Mike Lueckenhoff and District 2-E2 ERC Director Lion Barb Noblit, who shared how donated eyeglasses are collected, processed, and distributed to individuals in need around the world.

The Eyeglass Recycling Center is a shining example of Lions serving through one of our core missions— VISION. Through the generosity of communities and the dedication of Lions volunteers, thousands of people receive the gift of improved sight each year. Lions2-E2

Today’s speaker was our very own Lion David Stone. He delivered a powerful and educational presentation on a few historical speeches that not only helped shape his own life, but also the course of our nation. Today was a wonderful day of learning, leadership, and fellowship at the Sherman Noon Lions Club!

We were honored to host our Lunch & Learn on Lionism led by District Governor Elect Lion Mike Lueckenhoff and Global Leadership Team Coordinator Lion Deb Cashen. Their knowledge, encouragement, and passion for service were truly inspiring as they shared more about the mission and impact of Lions Clubs International.

We also had the privilege of officially inducting one of our newest members, Lion Dave Felt, into the Sherman Noon Lions Club family. We are excited to have him join us in serving our community and making a difference!

Thank you to everyone who attended and continues to support our mission of service. If you have ever been interested in giving back, building friendships, and serving alongside an amazing group of people, we would love to have you visit us sometime!

This past week at the meeting, we had the pleasure of hearing from our very own Lion David Stone, whose passion for collecting fountain pens turned into a fascinating journey through history. 🖋️

Lion David shared the origins of the fountain pen, the innovators who helped create and improve it over time, and how something as simple as a writing instrument helped shape communication, business, education, and our everyday lives as we know them today. It was amazing to see how much history and craftsmanship can be found in something many of us use without a second thought.

Thank you, Lion David, for bringing such a unique and educational program to the club. Your knowledge, enthusiasm, and collection made for a truly memorable presentation! 🦁✨
