North Texas Priory No. 73, Knights of the York Cross of Honour An Honor Group of York Rite Masons, dedicated to serving the Masonic Fraternity It has steadily grown in membership and at the present time has 112 members.

The Order of the Knights of the York Cross of Honour was formed on March 13, 1930, in Monroe, North Carolina by a group of Freemasons dedicated to the York Rite. Convent General was formed on June 6, 1930, as the governing body of the Priories with world-wide jurisdiction. There are at present 81 Priories in the Continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and the Philippi

nes, with a membership of over 13,000. North Texas Priory was chartered by the Convent General on September 9, 1989, with 42 Charter Members, North Texas York Rite Masons who were members of Texas Priory No. 23. The organizational conclave of the Priory was held in the Travis Masonic Lodge in Sherman on November 17, 1988.
