Cross Cultural Expressions

Cross Cultural Expressions At Cross Cultural Expressions, we see a world in which diversity is celebrated as a means to unite people.

To make this vision a reality, we work hard to increase dialog and understanding by uplifting individuals and communities through therapy, education and the arts. The Cross Cultural Expressions Community Counseling Center (CCECCC), is one of our proudest achievements. Through the center we are able to provide culturally sensitive therapeutic support for our patients, and train other professional c

linicians to do the same in their own practices. By better understanding the cultural subtleties, nuances of language and varied forms of expression, we are able to better serve our clients and further our vision of a connected, unified world celebrating the rich diversity of all its inhabitants.

On May 17, Cross Cultural Expressions (CCE), in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, hosted Our Voices, Our Stories: Music and Essays from the Iranian Diaspora, an evening dedicated to honoring identity, culture, resilience, and the immigrant experience through music and storytelling.

Featuring performances by Navah Rahbar, Sabrina Halavi, and Seena Khoshbin, accompanied by Hossain Ehrari on percussion and Amy Amatia on violin, the program also included selected readings from Our Immigrant Stories: A Collection of Essays from the Iranian Diaspora. Together, the artists created a space for reflection, connection, and collective healing.

We’re pleased to share that the full recording is now available on the CCE Productions YouTube channel. Whether you attended the event or are experiencing it for the first time, we invite you to watch and engage with these powerful stories and performances.

On February 28th and March 29th, Cross Cultural Expressions (CCE), in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, hosted two meaningful Art Wellness Circles, one for the Iranian Community and the second for the Eastern European community.

These gatherings created a safe and welcoming space for individuals and families to slow down, reconnect, and engage in creative expression as a pathway to healing. Through guided art-making, participants were able to release stress,
regulate their nervous systems, and cultivate emotional balance—while sharing a powerful sense of community.

At CCE, we believe that mental health support should be culturally responsive, accessible, and rooted in connection. Events like this highlight the importance of creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported in their own
language and cultural context.

A heartfelt thank you to our facilitators, partners, and everyone who joined us for this impactful experience.

Healing is not one-size-fits-all, and neither is therapy.

At Cross Cultural Expressions (CCE), individual therapy is rooted in understanding the full picture of who you are, your culture, identity, experiences, and the challenges you carry.

Our clinicians are trained in multicultural counseling and work alongside you to navigate life’s complexities with care and intention.

Whether you are facing anxiety, relationship struggles, grief, or simply searching for clarity and purpose, therapy can be a space to rebuild, grow, and reconnect with yourself.

Because feeling understood is where healing begins.

🌿 What a beautiful day of art, connection, and community! 🌿

Cross Cultural Expressions was honored to host an Art Therapy Booth at the Globally Inspired Arts & Performance Festival in Beverly Hills on Sunday, July 12.

Festival attendees of all ages joined us in creating our Community Tree of Wisdom, sharing inspiring words, messages, and artwork on leaves that celebrated hope, kindness, resilience, and belonging. Participants also painted their own Rock of Wisdom to take home—a small reminder of the strength, joy, or intention they wanted to carry with them each day.

It was a privilege to serve our Los Angeles community through the healing power of creativity. We believe that art has the unique ability to bring people together, spark meaningful conversations, strengthen emotional well-being, and remind us that we are all connected through our shared humanity.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to create, reflect, and connect with us. We look forward to many more opportunities to build healthier, more connected communities through the arts.
