The CCC is proud to co-present the American Musicological Society as they present a CLE Seminar this week, "Contemporary Issues in Music & Copyright Law" at the UCLA School of Music!

We wanted to introduce all of our fantastic panelists that will be joining us for our October Webinar on the 20th! – “Culture Shift: Looking to the Next Generation to Keep Music Alive.”

YOYOKA is a drummer from Japan who just turned 17 in October. She started playing drums at 18 months old and began performing live at the age of 4. At 8 years old, her drum cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Good Times Bad Times” gained international attention when it was praised by Robert Plant. She has appeared twice on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and is the youngest drummer ever listed among the “World’s Top 500 Drummers” by Drummerworld. She was also the youngest person ever included in Newsweek Japan’s “100 Japanese People the World Respects.” She has performed with artists such as Cyndi Lauper, Tom Morello, Alex Lifeson (Rush), Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath), Fall Out Boy, and Jack Black.

Sparkle is a Los Angeles–based DJ, producer, and recording artist whose career spans touring, film premieres, award shows, and major brand activations. A Billboard-featured artist and Avid Pro Tools–certified producer, she is known for her high-energy performances and versatility across live events, music production, and media platforms. She has toured nationally and internationally with That Girl Lay Lay and Silento, including performances in the Virgin Islands, and has opened for Missy Elliott, Saweetie, T-Pain, and Kendrick Lamar.

Every month the CCC is proud to recognize one of our amazing members for their contributions to the music and entertainment industry!

This month we are excited to feature Dorothy Coleman Pincus! Dorothy is an accomplished, Grammy-recognized singer, songwriter, composer, producer, SAG-AFTRA voice-over artist, and vocal coach with more than 20 years of experience. Celebrated as a dynamic “human instrument” with a remarkable vocal range, she has toured, recorded, and collaborated with iconic artists such as Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Stevie Wonder.

In addition to her music career, Dorothy is an Amazon best-selling author, playwright, and published poet whose writing focuses on transformational arts, personal growth, and resilience. Her body of work encompasses published books, poetry collections, and contributions to renowned literary journals.
