Today, we honor the life and legacy of Edward A. Whitney, born March 24, 1843.

A quiet, thoughtful man with a powerful vision, Mr. Whitney spent decades planning a gift that would support education and opportunity for generations to come.

His belief was simple:
β€œMy estate does not belong to me… it belongs to the people.”

Because of that vision, students, families, and our entire community continue to benefit.

We are proud to carry forward his legacy here in Sheridan.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Whitney. Your impact lives on. πŸ’™
