𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲! It's been another productive month across the City. Utilities crews have been busy completing infrastructure upgrades, responding to emergency repairs, tracking snowpack, and rolling out new technology to improve operations 💧. Spring has officially arrived for Solid Waste, which means compost season is underway, with more product available earlier than usual thanks to a mild winter. The landfill crew also recycled hundreds of tons of scrap metal—keeping materials out of the landfill 🌱♻️. Parks has exciting news as Kendrick Arboretum earned a Level II accreditation (the only one in Wyoming)! 🌳. Public Works is gearing up for construction season—prepping the hot plant, starting crack sealing, and putting new equipment (including a street sweeper) into service while improving signage and crosswalk visibility 🚧. The Building Division hosted a booth at the Big Horn Home Builders Show, where their trivia game drew a great crowd 🏠. Fire-Rescue continues training and preparing to respond at a moment’s notice—and will be welcoming their new engine once it’s finished with its modeling gig at trade shows! 🚒. Behind the scenes, Fleet and the City Shop are keeping equipment running, while HR is gearing up for summer with seasonal positions and internships available ☀️. We also recognize National Public Telecommunicators Week and thank those who answer the call—literally—day in and day out 📞. And a shoutout from the Clerk’s Office to Streets & Signs for updating the City’s Public Art inventory—basically a citywide scavenger hunt 🎨. In short (well "short"): lots happening behind the scenes to keep Sheridan running smoothly. We’re lucky to live and work here! And for the rest of us—you’ll just have to imagine us doing equally cool things as we tackle paperwork, spreadsheets, bills, and permits. Not flashy, but we like to think it matters just as much. We might be a little delusional... but we’re sticking with it—please just let us have this one 😉
