SAGE Community Arts Funded in part by the Wyoming Arts Council. SAGE hosts Educational Workshops and Classes for children and adults in a variety of media. The cost is $45/year.

Operated by SAGE (Sheridan Artists Guild, Et al), SAGE Community Arts, (formerly Sagebrush Art Center) operates as a non-profit with the goal of inspiring and building community through the visual arts. Exhibition Gallery features regional and national shows on 6-week intervals, while the Member Gallery presents local talent in a variety of media. Summer Art Camp provides many opportunities for creative learning for area youth. Consider becoming a member of SAGE. SAGE Community Arts is funded by donations, fundraisers, community contributions and a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council. Please consider supporting this valuable organization. SAGE Members receive invitations for openings and events, receive discounts at local art supply businesses, and have opportunity to hang art in the Members' Gallery.

✍🏼Digital, pencil, or paint — choose your medium and learn how to make lettering-based artwork for events, merch, gifts, murals, and more! In this two-part workshop, you’ll get demos from Dan and cover theory and lettering styles, composition tips and tricks, personal Q&A — and ultimately bring to a piece of word-based artwork to life in the medium of your choice. All levels of experience welcome.

Dan Lee () is a freelance creative professional and designer with a focus on hand-lettering and typography, which has led to exciting branding and merch work for artists, musicians, events, and creative companies of all stripes. He has been a member of the SAGE Board of Directors since 2020. Through Destiny Kid Labs, he has also worked with agencies, art directors, and non-profits to provide creative direction, lead facilitations, and develop critical messaging.

🤩 We are thrilled to announce our next exhibition at SAGE Communty Arts: Different but SAME

Different but SAME is a thought-provoking exhibition exploring the shared human experience across cultures, identities, and backgrounds. Through a dynamic collection of artwork and performances, the exhibition highlights both individuality and the universal emotions, struggles, and aspirations that connect us all. By challenging ideas of “otherness,” Different but SAME invites reflection, empathy, and meaningful conversation about the power of art to bring communities together.
The exhibition also includes special public programming at WYO Theater and SAGE Community Arts:

Artist Panel: June 3 at 5:30 PM at the WYO Theater
Performance by James Pakootas: June 4 at 5:30 PM at the WYO Theater
Opening Reception: June 4 at 6:30 PM at SAGE Community Arts

Our Instructor Spotlight for May is Jim Jareb!

Master printmaker Jim Jereb has extensive experience in printmaking, painting and drawing as well as teaching in the arts. He is currently Head of the Printmaking Department and Museum Studies at Truman State University.

“Jim Jereb has an innate sense of just enough, which is critical in printmaking – he uses line economically to suggest his topic, leaving infinite room for the imagination,” said Clay Paper Scissors co-owner Camellia El-Antably. “Additionally, he is highly skilled across a variety of printmaking mediums and uses them with masterful skill.”
