Today, Community Services Network of Wyoming joins communities across the nation in honoring Juneteenth—a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and hope.

Juneteenth is an opportunity to reflect on our shared history and recognize that strong communities are built when every person has access to opportunity, resources, and the chance to thrive. It reminds us that progress is possible when we work together to remove barriers and create pathways to economic stability, health, and well-being.

At CSNOW, we believe that thriving communities are inclusive communities. We are proud to support organizations across Wyoming that help individuals and families overcome challenges, build brighter futures, and strengthen the fabric of our state.

Today, we celebrate the strength and contributions of Black Americans, honor the ongoing pursuit of equity and opportunity, and recommit ourselves to the work of creating communities where everyone belongs and has the opportunity to succeed.

Happy Juneteenth from Community Services Network of Wyoming.

Have you checked your SUN Bucks status? â˜€ïžđŸ„«

Eligible children may receive a one-time summer food benefit to help families purchase groceries while school is out.

Many children who receive free or reduced-price school meals, or whose households participate in SNAP, may be automatically enrolled. However, it's always a good idea to verify your enrollment status and mailing address with DFS to ensure you receive your benefits.

Questions about SUN Bucks or other food assistance resources? Reach out to your local community action agency or visit the DFS website for more information.

Together, we can help ensure Wyoming children have access to nutritious meals all summer long.

You are not alone in this. 💛 If you’re caring for a child with ADHD and feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or just plain stuck, HealthWorks is launching a new summer ADHD Caregiver Support Group to help you breathe a little easier and Calm The Chaos. 🌿✹

In this free group, you’ll join other caregivers and work with our mental health professionals to build a realistic game plan for your family, share what’s hard without judgment, and leave each week with tools you can actually use at home. đŸ§©đŸ«¶

💚 What to expect:

First session (May 21) is for caregivers only – a safe space to talk openly, learn, and feel understood.

Future sessions will include a therapist-led skills group for children at the same time, so you and your child can grow together.

Supportive, down‑to‑earth conversations focused on reducing stress, increasing connection, and calming daily chaos. đŸ•Żïž

🆓 Cost: No cost to attend – we never want price to be a barrier to getting support.

📍 Details for the first session:

Date: May 21

Location: 506 W 17th St

Time: 1:00 PM

No formal referral needed – walk‑ins are welcome. If you can, please RSVP so we can plan materials and snacks. When you RSVP, tell us your favorite snack so we can stock the table with a little something that feels like “you.” đŸ«–đŸŽ

If your days feel loud, chaotic, and never-ending, we see you. 🌈 There is hope, and you do not have to figure this out alone – come sit with us, take a deep breath, and let’s build a calmer path forward together. đŸ€đŸ•Šïž

There’s been a lot of conversation about poverty lately—nationally and across Wyoming.
At CSNOW, our goal is simple: bring clarity to the reality Wyomingites are facing today so we can create a stronger tomorrow.
The challenge?
Our current poverty benchmarks don’t reflect the true cost of living.
So while the data may suggest things are improving, many working families are still struggling to make ends meet.
Poverty isn’t always visible in the numbers—but it’s very real in people’s lives.

Health doesn’t start in a doctor’s office—it starts with where you live, what you can afford to eat, and whether you have a safe place to call home.

When families are forced to choose between rent and groceries, or between heating their home and buying medication, their health suffers. When children go to school hungry or live in unstable or unsafe housing, their ability to learn and thrive is impacted.

Community Action Agencies across Wyoming work on health every day by helping families secure stable housing, access nutritious food, keep their homes safe and warm, and connect to jobs that provide sustainable, living wages. While we may not provide direct medical care, we address the conditions that make health possible.

This World Health Day, we’re reminded that improving health and fighting poverty are not separate efforts—they are one and the same.

If your health is being impacted by financial hardship, support is available. Reach out to your local Community Action Agency to learn more.

Congress is starting to determine funding for HUD’s homelessness programs – and they need to hear from you why these programs matter. The Alliance is recommending that Congress provide HUD’s Homeless Assistance Grants account with a total appropriation of $5.1 billion in Fiscal Year 2027.
Please urge your Senators to sign on to this letter by 5pm ET on Thursday, April 16 to protect and expand federal funding for our most vulnerable neighbors.
