Deadlines are coming up quickly!

The deadline to request assistance for school supplies is JUNE 10 to make sure supplies are ordered for your students!

The deadline to buy a school supply kit for your Sheridan student and see $1 go back to SYAP is June 15!

We are looking forward to summer fun, but we also are planning for a great 2026-2027 school year! Wow!

You can order school supply kits for your Sheridan Community Schools students now until June 15 at brightschoolkits.shop. For those who purchase a kit, $1 will go back to SYAP, and your student will have all the school list supplies delivered to their classroom or locker before the first day of school. So easy!

Families can also request financial assistance for school supplies thanks to our generous partners, including support from Hamilton County Community Foundation this year! Please apply at the link in the comments, and students can receive the same school supply kits from Bright School kits. The deadline to request assistance is JUNE 10.

Happy last day of school to all of our Sheridan Community Schools families! We hope it's been a great year!

While everyone is cleaning out lockers and classrooms, SYAP has been busy preparing for summer activities, including our summer food program. We have already received some some items from our friends and partners at Hamilton County Harvest Foodbank and Shepherd's Pantry in Westfield, and we couldn't be more thankful for them! And today we scored some very cute clearance lunch boxes. Woo hoo!

If you'd like to help, too, we have a couple of opportunities for you:

1. Visit the pack the cruiser event at the Westfield Kroger on Carey Rd. and SR 32 on Saturday, May 30 from 10-2, and donate requested food items or a Kroger gift card to Sheridan summer food programs.

2. Come volunteer with us! You can sign up to help as much or as little as you'd like this summer. Link with volunteer dates and options is in the comments.

We wanted to do a shout out to our friend Amy for being our lead volunteer for our Gleaners 2 Go pick ups this spring! She brought along some student friends from the FLIGHT after school program to help out at our April distribution. Thank you so much for helping! Thank you for giving to Donor Madness! We increased our monthly donor support by adding 9 new recurring donors who are giving at least $30/month to SYAP! You all are amazing!

And if you add up all of our monthly gifts, along with generous one time gifts given during this campaign, we surpassed our dollar goal of $10,800 (30 donors at $30/month, for all you math lovers out there). Donor Madness will bring in a total of $16,364 that will go toward opportunities for Sheridan youth like recreational sports, school sports, and summer activities.

It's the last day of March! We hope you and your family are enjoying Spring Break by making memories and having some exciting adventures this week. Did you know that every year Sheridan Youth Assistance supports families during the wintery holiday season? We believe that EVERYONE deserves a low-stress, jolly holiday. By teaming up with local business, non-profits, and family sponsors, we are able to spread holiday cheer to the community. We coordinate the distribution of gifts, clothes, food, wrapping paper, and more that will make the holiday season run smoothly. In 2025, the community holiday program provided assistance to 324 individuals.
