Today, Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, and North Texas welcomed Colonel Samuel Mink as he assumed command of the 82d Training Wing.

Prior to arriving at Sheppard, Col Mink served as Deputy Commander of the Ogden Air Logistics Complex at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, where he helped lead a workforce of more than 6,900 military and civilian personnel supporting some of the Air Force's most critical aircraft and weapons systems.

On behalf of the Sheppard Military Affairs Committee, we are excited to welcome Col Mink and his family to our community. We look forward to working alongside him as we continue to strengthen the partnership between Sheppard AFB and North Texas while supporting the vital mission of training the next generation of Airmen.
