Obituary of Fran Cox
IN THE CARE OF

Fran Cox, age 91 of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 14, 2026. She was born on March 20, 1935, in Gee, Kentucky to the late Alonzo and Helen (Wagoner) Cox. She was a member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church and taught Sunday School for her previous church, Zion Church. Fran loved the beach, lighthouses and music. She enjoyed working with crafts and gardening and was a member of Bullitt County Homemakers. Fran was known for her cooking skills and loved to compete in the Kentucky State Fair where she was awarded numerous ribbons.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her sister, Barbara Cox and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 9:30 am at Redeemer Presbyterian Church (1310 E. Burnett Ave., Louisville, KY 40217) with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) and on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 9:00 am until the time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Dare To Care and Wounded Warrior Project in honor of Fran are appreciated.
