The holidays can be beautiful… but we also know they can be hard.

Not everyone has a big family gathering to go to. Not everyone has a table full of people waiting for them. And sometimes, people simply need a place where they can walk in and feel like they belong.

That’s what we want The Lighthouse to be. ❤️

On Sunday, November 15 from 3–6 PM, we’re opening our doors for a FREE community Thanksgiving dinner.

Come with your family. Come with a friend. Come by yourself. Come because you need a meal, or simply because you don’t want to spend the afternoon alone.

There is no requirement to belong here.

You already do. 🧡

Harvest of Hope is THIS weekend! 🎃
We are so excited to have Happy Hands Sensory back here at The Lighthouse hosting this beautiful evening!

When: Sunday October 25th at 5PM
What: Enjoy a family friendly fall festival! Take the kids to Trunk-or-Treat, shop from local vendors and small businesses, enjoy food from local food trucks, visit the children’s activity area and experience everything that makes this community so amazing!

We’ve had something on our minds for a while now…

One thing we’ve always worried about with The Lighthouse is what happens on the days and evenings when JB’s isn’t set up and someone needs something to eat.

Obviously, we can’t be there serving food every single day, but we keep thinking there has to be some small way we can still help. ❤️

So we’d really love to put together a little community food pantry inside The Lighthouse. Nothing huge or fancy…just a cabinet stocked with simple, shelf-stable foods that someone can grab if they need them.

The pantry would only be available on the days we are set up with the trailer and The Lighthouse is open, but hopefully someone could grab enough to help get them through a few meals.

And one thing we really want everyone to keep in mind when we start collecting items is that not everyone has access to a kitchen, microwave, or even a can opener. So things that can be opened and eaten as-is would be perfect…tuna or chicken packets, crackers, peanut butter, granola bars, fruit cups, applesauce, snack packs, cereal bars, things like that.

We know groceries are RIDICULOUSLY expensive right now, and we absolutely understand that not everyone can afford to donate a lot. But even a few dollars spent on a couple of items can go a long way when a bunch of people each do a little.

This is still something we’re working out, but it’s been on our hearts for a while and we really think it could be another simple way for The Lighthouse to help take care of our community. ❤️

Sometimes helping doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s just making sure someone has something to eat.

Local Women in Business coming together to build community and support? 😍
We love to see it!

Happy Hands Sensory hosted a beautiful evening of networking and crafts with local women business owners so they had a minute to relax, unwind, and connect with one another. 🫶
We enjoyed local treats from Bullitt Blends and Rolling Scones Bakery while painting canvas bags together and connecting over entrepreneurship.

Today, for our Small Business Spotlight, we're shining a light on one of our favorite local small businesses, The Radiant Touch LLC!

They offer massage, skincare, body services, and a few aesthetic services as well. If you need a relaxing day of self care and pampering, The Radiant Touch is the place to go!

Amanda is also a wonderful artist and will be painting our indoor murals here at The Lighthouse, and she also painted our front windows for us! We are so excited to see more of her art!

Our kids area at The Lighthouse got a little makeover and I am OBSESSED. 🥹❤️

Look at this sweet hand-painted mural! From the lighthouse and crashing waves to the little crew sailing off on an adventure, every detail is so fun and whimsical. 🐰🐻🐋⛵️Amanda Mattingly knocked it out of the park!

We’ve always wanted The Lighthouse to feel like more than just a place to grab a bite or rent a space. We want it to feel warm, welcoming, creative, and like a place where families can come in, slow down, and enjoy being together.

And little touches like this are helping us bring that vision to life one wall at a time. ❤️

Tonight was one of those nights where I looked around and thought…holy crap. This is actually becoming what we dreamed it could be. ❤️

When we created The Lighthouse, we never wanted it to just be a building or another place you could rent.

We wanted it to be a place where people could come together.

A place where families could gather, local businesses could support each other, people could share a meal, laugh, meet someone new, and feel like they belonged.

A community where everyone is welcome to sit at the same table.

And tonight, during our Chili & Soup Cook-Off, that’s exactly what it felt like.

People were eating, laughing, voting, talking, supporting the contestants, supporting local businesses, and just enjoying being together.

THAT is what we wanted.

We’ve said from the beginning that we wanted to build a community where everyone was welcome to sit at the same table. Today, I looked around The Lighthouse and realized…they literally were. ❤️

So thank you. Seriously.

Thank you to everyone who entered, everyone who came to eat and vote, everyone who helped, everyone who shared our posts, and everyone who continues to support this crazy little idea we had.

There are still so many things we want to do with The Lighthouse, but nights like tonight make us stop and realize that maybe…just maybe…we are building something really special here.

And we could not do it without all of you. ❤️

Our hearts are very full tonight.

And I want to congratulate the winners of our very first cookoff!
