💙 District 7360 Stands With Our Extended Rotary Family 💙
The Rotary family is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Serge Poulin, Governor of Rotary District 7790, who was tragically killed August 3 in a traffic accident while traveling to an official club visit in Waterville, Maine.
Serge was a Rotarian since 2001 and served as District Governor in 2012–13. He dedicated his life to service, with particular passion for su***de prevention, polio eradication, and providing eye care to communities around the world. As an optometrist, he participated in numerous international service trips, bringing sight and hope to people in need.
Those who knew Serge remember much more than his impressive record of service. They remember his smile, his willingness to help, his thoughtful suggestions, and his sense of humor.
His sudden passing is a profound loss for his wife, Marie-Christine Bouchard, his family, the Rotary Club of Alma, District 7790, his governor classmates, and Rotarians throughout our global family.
District 7360 extends our deepest condolences and our heartfelt support to District 7790 and to all who loved and served alongside Serge.
In Rotary, we are connected by more than a pin or a club. We are a family. And when one of us is hurting, we stand together.
May Serge’s legacy of Service Above Self continue through the lives he touched and the difference he made around the world. 💙
Rest in peace, Serge. You will be deeply missed, and your service will not be forgotten.
