🐾❤️ DID SOMEONE SAY ANOTHER ADOPTION?! ❤️🐾

Henning’s K9s for Veterans is beyond excited to share that we have been pairing up so many veterans with their new furry companions this past week! 🇺🇸🐕🐈

Every adoption means another veteran receiving companionship, comfort, and unconditional love. Whether it’s a K9 or a kitty, we are proud to play a part in making these connections happen! ❤️

But we couldn't do any of this without YOU! 🙏

Every generous donation and every piece of merchandise purchased helps us continue our mission. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to everyone who has donated, shopped with us, shared our posts, and supported our mission! You are the reason we can keep making these adoptions possible. 🐾❤️

Hey friends! 🐾❤️🇺🇸

I’m putting this out there so we can all be on the same page, especially with all the shelters and rescues we are currently working with.

With all the recent adoptions we’ve helped make possible, along with several more in progress, I feel it’s important to explain the adoption process for Henning’s K9s for Veterans.

First, let me say how incredibly happy we are to see these adoptions happening! Being able to help our veterans and their families while giving shelter animals a second chance at life is exactly why we do what we do. ❤️🐕🐈

However, with several adoptions happening at once, there are some important steps that need to be followed so we can continue helping everyone without running into funding issues.

📌 OUR ADOPTION PROCESS

🐾 1. Contact us FIRST!
If a veteran is interested in adopting, whether they contact us directly or a shelter or rescue reaches out on their behalf, we must be contacted before the adoption is finalized.

🐾 2. Proof of military service is required.
We ask for documentation verifying the veteran’s military service. Examples include a DD-214, a VA benefits or award letter, or other appropriate documentation showing their name and veteran status.

We prefer not to rely solely on a driver's license with a veteran designation.

🐾 3. Approval must be given BEFORE the adoption.
Once we verify eligibility and approve the request, we will give the shelter or rescue the go-ahead. Please do not finalize an adoption expecting us to cover the fee without receiving our approval first.

🐾 4. Pictures and a short testimony are required.
We ask for a picture of the veteran with their adopted pet, along with a short testimony about their adoption experience. These help us share the impact of our mission and show our supporters how their generosity is making a difference.

🐾 5. Whenever possible, our founder and president would like the opportunity to be present.
My husband, who is the founder and president of Henning’s K9s for Veterans, would appreciate being present for the adoption when possible. At the very least, we would like to be given the option to attend or coordinate with the shelter.

🐾 6. Please keep us informed!
We need to know about all adoptions in progress and veterans who are interested in adopting. We are working with multiple shelters and rescues, and we must carefully manage our available funds to ensure we can honor the commitments we approve.

❤️ WHY THIS MATTERS

We are a nonprofit that relies on donations and grants to make these adoptions possible. We are thrilled that so many veterans are finding their new companions, but we also have to make sure we have enough funding available to cover the adoption fees we approve.

Please do not finalize an adoption and then send us a picture and a bill without contacting us first or giving us the opportunity to approve it. We want to help as many veterans and animals as possible, but we cannot guarantee payment for adoptions that have not been approved in advance.

I will be sending an email to all the shelters and rescues we are currently working with to ensure everyone understands and follows the same process moving forward.

This is not about slowing down adoptions. It’s about communication, organization, and making sure we can continue doing this work responsibly.

Together, we can make a difference! Every veteran deserves companionship, and every deserving shelter animal deserves a loving home. Let's continue working together to clear out the shelters and give these veterans and animals a brighter future! 🐾❤️🇺🇸

Thank you all for understanding, supporting our mission, and helping Henning’s K9s for Veterans make a difference, one adoption at a time!

🐾❤️ 3 ADOPTIONS IN 1 WEEK! WOW! ❤️🐾

What an amazing week for Henning’s K9s for Veterans! 🇺🇸🐾

This week, we helped make 3 adoptions possible! Two bonded kitties found their forever home, and two K9s found loving families! 🐱🐱🐶🐶

These adoptions involved 2 different rescues/shelters, which makes this an even bigger win! Not only are we helping our veterans and their families find comfort and companionship, but we’re also helping open up space in shelters for other animals in need. ❤️

Every adoption is a reminder of WHY we do what we do. It’s about second chances, unconditional love, and making a difference in the lives of both people and animals. 🐾💙

None of this would be possible without the support of our donors, our community, and our partners who believe in our mission. A special thank-you to everyone who continues to support Henning’s K9s for Veterans!

3 adoptions. 2 rescues/shelters. Countless lives touched. THAT’S A WIN-WIN! 🙌🐾🇺🇸

We are so grateful to be part of these happy endings and beautiful new beginnings!

❤️ Thank you for helping us make a difference, one adoption at a time!

🐾❤️ Hey friends! What a busy week for Henning’s K9s for Veterans! 🇺🇸🐱

We’ve had a few adoptions this week, and we’re so excited to share our first adopter with you! ❤️

She is an Army Veteran who rescued a bonded pair of cats! 🐱🐱 There’s something special about keeping bonded animals together and giving them a loving home where they can feel safe, secure, and loved.

None of this would be possible without the support of Round Room Gives and the generous donations from our amazing community. We are truly grateful for everyone who helps make our mission possible! 🙏❤️

This is WHY we do what we do! 🇺🇸🐾 To bring comfort, companionship, and love to our veterans and their families while also helping clear our local shelters and giving deserving animals a second chance at life.

Every adoption makes a difference. Every donation matters. And every veteran and animal we help reminds us why this mission is so important. ❤️🐾

Thank you for being part of our journey! Together, we’re making a difference, one veteran and one paw at a time. 🐾🇺🇸
