Shelton department will still not be issuing burn permits until more moisture comes. This is all discussed by Buffalo county fire chiefs. All have agreed to keep the burn ban in place.

As many of you know, we are part of the Buffalo County Task Force Team, and with the extreme dry conditions this year, we’ve already been deployed multiple times across the state.

Our wildland firefighters are often sent into remote areas where basic supplies aren’t always available. They work long hours in harsh conditions often without reliable access to essentials. These firefighters put everything on the line to protect communities, yet they don’t always have what they need when they need it most.

With your support, we can help provide critical gear and supplies to keep our firefighters safe, fueled, and prepared to continue protecting lives, land, and property.

Even with the state burn ban being lifted, Buffalo county is keeping its burn ban in place. No burn permits will be issued.

Some photos from yesterdays events. Took some new guys along and the went right to work. Our objective was to protect 4 structures in our division. The guys learned how to use fire to fight fire, using drip torches and back burning. Removing the fuel before the structures give the homes a chance to service. Proud of these group of guys!
