Apparently no one told the marigolds they were supposed to stay in their assigned seats. 😂🌼

Our garden is in full bloom, and some of our flowers are getting a little more enthusiastic than others! Between the marigolds taking over the raised beds, nasturtiums spilling everywhere, and calendula, chamomile, and evening primrose joining in, there’s something blooming around every corner.

One of our favorite parts of Nature Enrichment is giving students the chance to watch the garden change through the seasons—and sometimes seeing what happens when we let nature get a little wild. 💛🌱

What if your child didn’t have to keep up with everyone else… but was given the opportunity to truly grow?

One of the ideas we deeply value at Faith Mountain Academy is beautifully expressed in the Charlotte Mason philosophy of education:

Every child is a unique person.

Children of the same age do not all learn the same things at the same time or in the same way. One child may soar in reading while needing more time in math. Another may be ready to race ahead in one area while still building confidence in another.

And that’s okay.

At Faith Mountain Academy, we believe education should recognize the child in front of us—not simply the grade printed beside his or her name.

That doesn't mean lowering expectations. Quite the opposite.

We want each student to grow. We challenge them, encourage them, and help them strengthen the areas that are difficult—but without constantly measuring their progress against someone else's.

And academics are only part of the picture.

We believe education is also about developing character, cultivating good habits, encountering beautiful and worthwhile ideas, growing in faith, and learning how to live well alongside others.

There is a big picture we're working toward.

Not simply, “Did we finish everything on the checklist?”

But:

Who is this child becoming?

At Faith Mountain Academy, we have the freedom to see the individual child, meet them where they are, and thoughtfully help them take the next step forward.

Because children aren't meant to be mass-produced.

They are meant to be known, nurtured, challenged, and given room to grow. 🌱

If there’s a jalapeño heaven… we’re pretty sure we found it. 😂🌶️

All this rain has our garden going absolutely CRAZY!

And this is just one of the many things our students get to experience in our **Nature Enrichment class**—planting, growing, harvesting, and seeing firsthand what a little sunshine (and apparently A LOT of rain) can do! 🌱

Learning is pretty sweet… or in this case, a little spicy. 😉🌶️

🍇 Learning is sweeter when it's hands-on! 🌿

One of the things we love most about Faith Mountain Academy is watching children experience the joy of learning in God's creation.

This week, our students harvested fresh wineberries growing around our campus and, under teacher supervision, worked together to make homemade wineberry jam. Along the way, they practiced careful observation, learned about edible plants, developed practical life skills, worked together as a team, and experienced the satisfaction of creating something with their own hands.

At Faith Mountain Academy, learning doesn't just happen at a desk. It happens in the garden, outdoors, through living books, meaningful conversations, nature study, and real-life experiences that children remember long after the lesson is over.

🇺🇸 **Happy Independence Day!** 🇺🇸

Today, as our nation celebrates **250 years of America's story**, we pause with grateful hearts to thank God for the blessings of liberty and His faithfulness throughout our nation's history.

We remember the courage, conviction, and sacrifice of our Founding Fathers, who boldly declared in the Declaration of Independence that our rights are **"endowed by their Creator."** Those words remind us that our freedoms are ultimately gifts from God and carry with them the responsibility to seek Him, honor Him, and live according to His truth.

We are deeply thankful to live in a country where we have the freedom to worship God, to educate our children according to biblical convictions, and to openly share the hope found in Jesus Christ.

At Faith Mountain Academy, it is our prayer that we raise a generation who not only appreciates the blessings and sacrifices woven throughout our nation's history but, above all, knows that true freedom is found in Christ alone.

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us of the words of Jesus in John 15:13: *“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”*

As we gather with family and friends, may we pause with grateful hearts to pray for the families of the fallen, for our nation, and for the peace only God can provide.

May we never forget the cost of freedom, and may we strive to live with courage, faith, and gratitude each day.
