Dear Shelley Basketball Family,

As we wrap up this season and I reflect on all the moments we’ve shared —summer ball, team camps, Midnight Madness, Christmas parties, survivor games, bus rides and games, and the relationships built along the way — I am filled with so much gratitude.

It’s with an emotional and full heart that I want to share that this has been my final year coaching Shelley Girls Basketball. While this decision was not easy, it comes with peace, reflection, and immense appreciation for everything this journey has given me.

This experience has truly changed my life. Coaching this program has been one of the greatest privileges I’ve ever had. We live in an incredible community, and I’ve grown so much through my relationships with our coaching staff, parents, and players. I will carry the memories we’ve made with me forever.

From the very beginning, we’ve tried to build something more than just a basketball team. We’ve aimed to create a culture rooted in our Shelley values — a place where it’s not just about what we do, but how we do it.

💛 Spirit. Heart & Hustle. Exactness. Love, Lift, Lead. Loyalty. Enhance. Yes, We Can!

These aren’t just words we put on t-shirts each year— they are values we have worked to live on and off the court. And I want you girls to know: I see you living them. I see you stepping into kindness. I see you choosing trust, growth, and team. I see you becoming strong, grounded young women- and that is what makes me the most proud.

My greatest hope is that these values don’t end with the season or our coaching staff. Please let them continue to shape how you show up in the world- in your friendships, in your families, in your futures! Let how you do things speak louder than any scoreboard ever could.

To every player — thank you for letting us coach you! I appreciate your trust and kindness through that process! Being an athlete can be a grueling process, and I am inspired by each of you and the way you have embraced and grown in that process.

To every parent — thank you for your trust, support, and sacrifice. I have felt truly blessed by your kindness and willingness to be a part of our culture as well!

To our community- we have been so blessed by your support, enthusiasm, and love of our girls and our program! We live in an incredible town. Thank you for being part of our journey!

To my staff — thank you for the all the joy and laughter and tears we’ve shared! You are choice women. I am a better person because of each of you. Thank you for the hundreds of hours given- for your time, love, and commitment to this program and to each girl in it 💛.

To my husband and kids- thank you for all of your support and for being my cheerleaders. Thank you for the sacrifices you made so that I could do something I love. You are my favorite people and I love you each so much❤️.

This role has been a gift I will forever cherish.
