Saturday morning started cool with a little fog, but this did not dampen the spirits of all the wonderful volunteers helping collect money at our five 2026 SCUFFY Roadblock locations in hopes of moving us a little closer to our $940,000 Drive Goal.

As the weather improved, workers at the Progress Parkway/Lee Blvd, Knightstown Rd/Morris Avenue and Harrison/Mechanic Street locations were kept busy accepting generous donations from those heading to an activity at Blue River Park, running errands, or just “out and about”. Shelby County Girl and Boy Scout troops worked the two main Walmart entrances and enjoyed having SCUFFY Man come to help them collect money from friendly shoppers.

A heartfelt “THANK YOU” to all those who generosity donated as well as to our wonderful volunteers for making our 2026 SCUFFY ROADBLOCK an overwhelming success. Your efforts allowed us to raise $6,564.91 toward this year’s goal.

Please enjoy some photos of last Saturday’s Roadblock event.

SCUFFY ROADBLOCK - THIS SATURDAY, APRIL 25TH FROM 8 AM TO 2 PM

The SCUFFY Roadblock is one of the most fun and exciting events of our Drive. This year, we are setting up at three intersections – Mechanic & Harrison, Knightstown Road & Morris Avenue, and Progress Parkway & Lee Blvd – as well as both Walmart entrances which will be manned by our Girl Scout and Boy Scout Packs & Troops.

Last year, we raised $5,846.10 with mostly pocket change and it helped us meet our goal. So please consider stopping by one of these locations and donating your nickels, dimes, quarters and spare dollars to help us reach our $940,000 Drive Goal. Every donation counts!!!

Our 2026 Drive Chair, Joni Martzall and the Geneva United Methodist Church hosted a fundraising dinner and raised over $2700 in support of this year's SCUFFY Drive! Attendees enjoyed a variety of delicious food, had the opportunity to purchase homemade decorated cookies, and were given health screening opportunities. SCUFFY would like to thank everyone whose hard work made this event possible. We appreciate your support!

Below are some photos of the event to enjoy!

A few weeks ago, we posted all our 2026 Winning Artwork so you could help us select this year's "PEOPLE'S CHOICE" award winner. The response was outstanding and we would like to thank everyone who voted for their favorite.

With 188 votes, the overwhelming winner was Abbott Mullen - a 4th grader from Loper Elementary. The "People's Choice" winning artwork is shown below. Congratulations to Abbott!
