🌍 CALLED TO GO

“Here am I! Send me.” — Isaiah 6:8

When God calls us to go, we have to be willing to say yes.

That calling is at the heart of Kustawi Ministries. Our mission is to equip, encourage, and support indigenous pastors and leaders across East Africa so churches and communities can thrive and flourish for the glory of God.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 28:19, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.”

As we begin planning our next visit to Africa, we would love for you to pray with us. 🙏🏽

Please pray for:
🌍 God’s direction — that every decision and every step would be guided by Him.
🙏 The pastors and leaders we will serve—that God would strengthen and encourage them.
❤️ Open hearts—that the Gospel would reach those who need to hear it.
✈️ Travel and finances—that God would provide every resource needed.
🤝 Divine connections—that He would bring the right people and partnerships alongside Kustawi.
🔥 A greater harvest—that lives, churches, and communities would be transformed.

“Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all peoples!” — Psalm 96:3

Would you join us in praying as we prepare to go? 🌍❤️

Every gift makes a difference.

Today, we're asking you to prayerfully consider making a one-time donation. No gift is too small, and every act of generosity helps further the work God has placed before us.
If you have been looking for an opportunity to give, this is your chance to make an immediate impact. Your support is more than a financial gift—it is an investment in lives being transformed and in the work God is accomplishing.

"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." — 2 Corinthians 9:7

If you feel led to give, you can make a secure one-time donation today using the Venmo below.

Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and for partnering with us as we trust God to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine. ❤️

Meet Our Pastors!

From left to right: Pastor Jared, Pastor Laban, and Pastor Samuel.

These faithful men of God do far more than lead their churches and communities.

They serve as shepherds, mentors, and community leaders, providing spiritual guidance while also helping meet the practical needs of the people they serve. Through their leadership, local families receive encouragement, hope, and access to essential resources during times of need.

At Kustawi, we are committed to coming alongside indigenous pastors like these through two primary goals:

Empowering indigenous pastors and spiritual leaders to flourish by providing biblical training, practical equipping, ongoing encouragement, and essential support that helps meet their basic needs.

Strengthening indigenous pastors and leaders so they are equipped to help their churches, communities, and nation flourish—growing in faith while fostering holistic well-being and lasting transformation.

By investing in local leaders, we are investing in communities that are best served by those who know them, love them, and are called to serve them.

Together, we can help these pastors continue sharing the hope of Christ while bringing practical care to those who need it most.

(Formerly The Not Without Hope Project) KUSTAWI is a Swahili word meaning to thrive or to flourish.

At Kustawi Ministries, our Christ-centered mission is twofold:
1. To empower indigenous pastors and spiritual leaders to flourish by walking alongside them through training, equipping, and the provision of essential support and basic needs; and
2. Through the strengthening of indigenous pastors and leaders, to position them to help their churches, communities, and nation flourish in both faith and holistic well-being.

“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers,
to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.”
— Ephesians 4:11–12

Briefing:
Kustawi is a global Christian initiative dedicated to empowering indigenous pastors and community leaders across East Africa—and ultimately, the world. We strengthen local leadership, cultivate sustainable ministry, and advance human flourishing through discipleship, education, church planting, and humanitarian support.

Our Mission:
To empower indigenous pastors and leaders across East Africa and the globe to reach their people and fulfill their calling in the Great Commission. We accomplish this through church planting, evangelism and outreach efforts, discipleship, education, and humanitarian initiatives.

Why Indigenous Leadership Matters:
Indigenous pastors and leaders are uniquely positioned to effect long-term transformation. They understand local languages, cultural dynamics, economic realities, and spiritual challenges. Yet many lack access to training, resources, and organizational support. Kustawi bridges this gap by equipping leaders who can sustain ministry within their own communities.
