Rock Steady Boxing is a program developed specifically for those diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. It mimics the rigorous training that boxers endure, but instead of battling another person, they are fighting their toughest opponent, Parkinson's. Focusing on endurance, agility, hand-eye coordination, flexibility, balance, core-strength, rhythm, voice projection, and FUN, the workouts are designe

d to challenge and empower boxers to keep fighting. The program has been a part of an ongoing research study conducted by the University of Indianapolis with reports of improved quality of life among participants. There have also been countless testimonials from participants that have seen incredible improvements in their symptoms and have seen a slowed progression with their disease. With the help of community donors and volunteers, Shelby County is excited to bring their own Rock Steady Boxing affiliate program to Shelbyville, IN! Our very first RSBSC class will be held on Tuesday January 31st from 4:30pm to 6:00pm at the Briley Family Center (714 Fair Avenue Shelbyville, IN).
