🚨IMPORTANT MESSAGE🚨
Like humans, cats & dogs are susceptible to frostbite & hypothermia!!! If you are cold, they are cold! Bring them inside if at all possible!!
With the Artic blast hard freeze coming, we wanted to let everyone know the laws that ARE in place! When it comes to the structure all the below requirements are a MUST:
(1)The structure is waterproof; constructed of
steel, aluminum, or other sound and substantial material; is
sufficient to protect the dog from inclement weather
suitable for the age, breed, and physical condition of the
dog; and is ventilated, insulated, and of a size appropriate
to allow the dog to maintain normal body temperature;
(2) The structure has dimensions that allow the
dog while in the shelter to stand erect, sit, turn around, and
lie down in a normal position;
(3) The structure provides a solid surface, resting
platform, pad, floormat, or similar device that is large
enough for the dog to lie on in a normal manner and can
be maintained in a sanitary manner;
(4) The structure prevents pain, suffering, or a
significant risk to the dog's health; and
(5) During hot weather, the structure is properly
shaded and during cold weather, the structure provides a
quantity of bedding material that is sufficient to protect the
dog from cold and promote the retention of body heat.
(b) The requirements in subdivision (a)(2)(B)(ii)(a) do not
apply to the space under buildings, decks, steps, or open crates
and carriers designed for temporary housing unless modified to
meet the requirements of subdivision (a)(2)(B)(ii)(a), including
allowing the dog to retain normal body temperature;
Proper bedding is also necessary. Always use STRAW or SHAVINGS! Blankets, hay, towels etc. can get wet and freeze. If the animal is lying on it, it can freeze to their body.

¡¡¡Al igual que los humanos, los gatos y los perros son susceptibles a la congelación y la hipotermia!!! Si tienes frío, ¡ellos tienen frío! ¡¡Tráelos adentro si es posible!!
Con la fuerte helada que se avecina en el Ártico, ¡queríamos que todos conocieran las leyes que ESTÁN vigentes! Cuando se trata de la estructura, todos los requisitos siguientes son IMPRESCINDIBLES:
(1)La estructura es resistente al agua; construido de
acero, aluminio u otro material sólido y sólido; es
suficiente para proteger al perro de las inclemencias del tiempo
adecuado a la edad, raza y condición física del
perro; y esté ventilado, aislado y de un tamaño apropiado
permitir que el perro mantenga una temperatura corporal normal;
(2) La estructura tiene dimensiones que permiten la
perro mientras está en el refugio pararse erguido, sentarse, darse la vuelta y
acuéstese en una posición normal;
(3) La estructura proporciona una superficie sólida, descansando
plataforma, almohadilla, tapete o dispositivo similar que sea grande
suficiente para que el perro se acueste normalmente y pueda
mantenerse de manera sanitaria;
(4) La estructura previene el dolor, el sufrimiento o una
riesgo significativo para la salud del perro; y
(5) Durante el clima cálido, la estructura esté adecuadamente
sombreado y durante el clima frío, la estructura proporciona un
cantidad de material de cama que sea suficiente para proteger el
perro del frío y promover la retención del calor corporal.
(b) Los requisitos de la subdivisión (a)(2)(B)(ii)(a) no

También es necesaria una ropa de cama adecuada. ¡Utilice siempre PAJA o VIRUTAS! Las mantas, toallas, etc. pueden mojarse y congelarse. Si el animal está tumbado sobre él, puede congelarse en su cuerpo.
