I am sadden to announce that Lindsay Frost passed away today after a diagnosis from December.
Lindsay has been a long time supporter of greyhounds.
Lindsay helped found KyGreyhounds in 2016. She was the Secretary.
Lindsay E Frost and Michelle Patton ran so many meet and greets (m&g) for KyG and continued for Shamrock Greyhound Adoption as it was coming to a close.
Lindsay helped with Shamrock's Greyhounds of the Bluegrass and KyG's Greyt Fest for many years.
When she wasn't with greyhounds, she was with her second love ... wood.
She made vessels ... you may know them as bowls. She listened to the wood to tell it how it wanted to be formed. I personally have several of her works. She was one of six Louisville artist featured in "Today's Woman" magazine. Her vessels have been in several galleries: Kore, Edenside and Berea to name a few.
Lindsay rescued wood to make the vessels. She was always on the look out for storm damage or neighbors taking downs trees. She was commissioned to do many pieces. One of my favorite stories was a local realtor would give her buyers one of Lindsay's vessels as a housewarming gift. She sold a lot to that realtor, ❤️.
Here is an interview from 2022:
Lindsay Frost is a wood sculptor affiliated with the Kentucky Guild of Artist and Craftsman, Louisville Artisans Guild, Louisville Visual Art, & Kentucky Crafted/ Kentucky Proud. In 2022 she was selected by LVA to create the 2022 LVA Honors Awards.

I know her greyhounds Cowgirl and Cool Ron (red coat) were ready to meet her at the bridge as well as other hounds, friends and fosters, whom she has loved through the years.
Although KyGreyhounds is no longer active if you should like to offer a memoriam to honor her love of greyhounds please consider a donation to Bluegrassgreyhoundadoption.org .
