Multi Purpose Community Action Agency Building stronger communities every day. MPCAA is part of a national movement created in 1964 with the passing of the Economic Opportunity Act.

Multi-Purpose Community Action Agency (MPCAA) empowers low-income families and older adults to achieve economic stability and independence through innovative programs, partnerships, and support services. Multi-Purpose Community Action Agency (MPCAA) is one of 23 community action programs in the state of Kentucky, serving the core counties of Bullitt, Shelby and Spencer. Community Action Agencies work on behalf of individuals and families to help them improve their daily living situations and to stabilize the family unit. Community Action is about real people: the individuals who volunteer time and money; the individuals and families who find a road out of poverty into self-sufficiency; and the agencies themselves whose dedicated staff encourage and inspire. Multi-Purpose Community Action Agency provides a variety of services to clients over 60 years of age, to low-income clients and to at-risk families. MPCAA is incorporated as a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) agency and is governed by a volunteer board of directors. The agency has been providing services for more than 35 years and continuously strives to identify needs of the community and to develop services to meet those needs. Through our various program services we promote self-sufficiency and independent living, helping our customers to achieve their own success by focusing on the positive aspects of their lives.

Our Multi-Purpose Community Action Agency team had a wonderful time attending the SEACAA Conference!
It was a great opportunity to connect with fellow Community Action Agencies, share ideas, learn about new resources, and bring back valuable information to better serve the individuals and families in our communities.
We are proud to be part of a network dedicated to empowering families, strengthening communities, and making a difference in the lives of those we serve.

MPCAA's Weatherization Program works with eligible households to identify ways to improve energy efficiency and make homes safer, healthier and more comfortable.

📧 Be cautious of unexpected emails and text messages
💳 Never give your bank or credit card information to someone who contacts you unexpectedly
📞 If something doesn't feel right, stop and verify before taking action

Get ready for the MPCAA Fall Festival on Friday, October 23, from 4:00–7:00 PM in Shelbyville!

We are excited to offer a Silent Auction with great items donated by our generous community partners and supporters.

💻 You can bid right here on Facebook!
👋 You can also bid in person at the Fall Festival on October 23.

ONLINE + IN-PERSON BIDS WILL BE COMBINED into the same auction.

📅 Auction closes Friday, October 23 at 6:30 PM.

HOW TO BID:
1. Look through the auction items in our Facebook album.
2. Comment your bid on the item you want.
3. Follow the minimum bid increment listed on the item.
4. Keep checking back—someone may outbid you!
5. The highest valid bid at 6:30 PM wins.

📍 In-person bidders can place bids at the Silent Auction table during the Fall Festival.

OFFICIAL SILENT AUCTION RULES
1. MPCAA Silent Auction will run online through Facebook and in person at the MPCAA Fall Festival on October 23, 2026.
2. Online and in-person bids are part of the same auction. The highest valid bid received by 6:30 PM on October 23, 2026 will be the winning bid.
3. Each item will have a starting bid and minimum bid increment. Bids that do not meet the required increment may be rejected.
4. Facebook bidders must place their bid as a comment on the applicable auction item post.
5. In-person bidders must record their bid on the bid sheet provided for that item.
6. MPCAA staff will update the Facebook post when an in-person bid changes the current high bid, as practical.
7. Bids are binding. Please do not bid unless you intend to purchase the item if you are the winner.
8. The auction closes at 6:30 PM sharp. Bids received after closing will not be accepted.
9. Winners will be contacted/announced after the auction closes and must pay before receiving their item.
10. Payment may be made by the payment methods accepted by MPCAA at the event.
11. Auction items should be picked up at the event when possible. Any alternate pickup arrangement must be approved by MPCAA.
12. In the event of a tie or bidding dispute, MPCAA staff will review the time and bid records and make the final determination.
13. MPCAA reserves the right to correct obvious posting or recording errors and to withdraw an item if necessary.

💙 Making a Difference in Our Community! 💙

Meet Carson, a senior at Spencer County High School! 🎓

As part of his senior project, Carson reached out to Multi-Purpose Community Action Agency (MPCAA) to see if we could be the focus of his project. He chose to support the Spencer County Food Pantry and truly went above and beyond!

Carson created a flyer asking his neighbors to donate items to our pantry. He then went door-to-door throughout his subdivision, personally handing out flyers and spreading the word about the needs in our community. 🥫❤️

And as you can see, his hard work paid off! The Spencer County pantry has been blessed with an amazing collection of donations that will be shared with individuals and families in our community who are in need.

Carson, thank you for choosing MPCAA for your senior project and for putting your time, energy, and heart into helping others. Your kindness and dedication are making a difference right here in Spencer County! ❤️
