Job Title: Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director
Organization: The Cancer Association of Shelby County
Location: Shelby County, IN
Position Type: Part-Time (3 days a week)

The Cancer Association of Shelby County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by cancer through financial assistance, resources, and community support.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and organized Administrative Assistant to support our Executive Director and help advance our mission. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, community-minded, and passionate about making a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to the Executive Director
• Assist in promoting the organization through social media, facebook and community outreach
• Assist with grant research and applications
• Represent the organization at community events as needed
• Assist with fundraising efforts, including event planning, donation solicitation, and auction basket preparation
• Enter financial data into QuickBooks, including accounts payable/receivable, and assist with monthly reconciliations
• Order and manage office and thrift store supplies
• Assist with client services, including applications, documentation, and tracking assistance provided
• Maintain organized files and records
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks preferred
• Familiarity with social media platforms
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Nonprofit or fundraising experience is a plus
• Able to lift up to 25lbs
