We had a great time at 4 The Glory Farm, getting to see and gain a deeper understanding of the Walking Horse industry. We can’t thank Herbert, Jill, Thomas, and Will enough for taking time out of their busy schedules to educate our class about the incredible breed of the Tennessee Walking Horse. Their knowledge, passion, and hospitality made this experience memorable.

It was a great night!

While the Leadership Bedford class did raise an amazing $32,000, more importantly they raised awareness to this all important cause. Please research the story of Junior's House Inc. Then, we would encourage you to get involved to help these children and families needing your help.

Congratulations to Lucas Pendergrast Jr., the proud recipient of the $1,000 Leadership Bedford Scholarship!

Lucas was selected as this year’s recipient based on the essay he wrote on leadership, which reflected his insight, character, and understanding of what it means to lead and serve others.
We are excited to see all that Lucas will accomplish in the future and are proud to celebrate this well-deserved honor.

Leadership Bedford 2026 was proud to present Hannah Faulkner from Junior's House Inc with a check for $32,000 from their class project at last nights graduation.

This year, the adult and youth Leadership Bedford classes joined together for their community project with a shared goal: to raise awareness and funding for Junior's House in Bedford County. They successfully accomplished both, and we could not be more proud of their hard work, dedication, and impact on our community.

Junior's House serves as a child advocacy center in Bedford County, providing a safe place for abused children. They conduct forensic interviews used in court proceedings and provide therapy services so healing can begin for children and families during incredibly difficult times.

What an incredible example of leadership, compassion, and community impact from the Leadership Bedford 2026 class.

Last night at the Leadership Bedford graduation, we were honored to hear from an incredible panel featuring Tina Baker Corley Business Development at First Community Bank and founder of Bedford County, TN Adopt a Teacher, Gary Fayard, former CFO of The Coca-Cola Company International and Stonewall Ridge Farm, and Tammy Garrett, Superintendent of Bedford County, TN Schools. The discussion, moderated by Brian Crews, Cooper Steel centered on the theme: “Community Leadership: Step In. Show Up. Change Will Happen.”

Throughout the evening, we heard powerful stories about how relationships, consistency, and action truly matter. The message was clear: don’t just talk about improving your community — step into it. Every one of us has the ability to step up, and when we do, change will happen.

Our panelists shared how they identified opportunities to strengthen and improve Bedford County — whether through supporting teachers in the classroom, inspiring neighborhood improvements that encouraged others to do the same, strengthening our local school system, or advocating for change on the state level that impacts schools across Tennessee. Their dedication and continued investment are helping make Bedford County a better place to live, work, and play.

We are incredibly thankful to these leaders for sharing their journeys, wisdom, and passion last night, and for the countless ways they continue to invest in the future of Bedford County.
