Last night at the Leadership Bedford graduation, we were honored to hear from an incredible panel featuring Tina Baker Corley Business Development at First Community Bank and founder of Bedford County, TN Adopt a Teacher, Gary Fayard, former CFO of The Coca-Cola Company International and Stonewall Ridge Farm, and Tammy Garrett, Superintendent of Bedford County, TN Schools. The discussion, moderated by Brian Crews, Cooper Steel centered on the theme: “Community Leadership: Step In. Show Up. Change Will Happen.”
Throughout the evening, we heard powerful stories about how relationships, consistency, and action truly matter. The message was clear: don’t just talk about improving your community — step into it. Every one of us has the ability to step up, and when we do, change will happen.
Our panelists shared how they identified opportunities to strengthen and improve Bedford County — whether through supporting teachers in the classroom, inspiring neighborhood improvements that encouraged others to do the same, strengthening our local school system, or advocating for change on the state level that impacts schools across Tennessee. Their dedication and continued investment are helping make Bedford County a better place to live, work, and play.
We are incredibly thankful to these leaders for sharing their journeys, wisdom, and passion last night, and for the countless ways they continue to invest in the future of Bedford County.
