We know how frustrating it can be when you reach out to a TNR organization and find out they're working with a ๐น๐ผ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐น๐ถ๐๐. ๐ซค
The reality is that many TNR groups are completely overwhelmed. ๐ฅต The number of cats needing help can far exceed the number of volunteers, traps, appointments, and resources they have available. ๐
But while you're waiting, the cats are still reproducing. ๐๐พ๐๐ผ
๐๐ฏ๐ด๐ต๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ธ๐ข๐ช๐ต๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ ๐ข ๐ท๐ฐ๐ญ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ต๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐ฐ๐ณ๐จ๐ข๐ฏ๐ช๐ป๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ to do everything for you, consider asking whether they can loan you a trap and provide some guidance so you can take on the rest. โ
You can schedule the appointment. ๐ซต๐ผ You can trap the cat. You can transport the cat. ๐ซต๐ผ You can provide the appropriate recovery space. And you can return the cat to where you found them. ๐ซต๐ผ
๐๐ ๐ฆ ๐๐ ๐'๐ฅ ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ช๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐. Sometimes you just need someone to show you how to get started. ๐ซถ Personally, we have had such great success teaching others how to properly TNR!
With the right supplies, a little preparation, and some guidance, anyone can learn to TNR. And, you may be able to help those cats much sooner by becoming part of the solution yourself. โค๏ธ
