Check out this carrot cake made by our students for Juan Jesus' 14th birthday. And yes, those little carrots are handmade. Such attention to detail. What a joy to see our students celebrating their classmates in this way. 🥰🎂

We used to buy birthday cakes, but now our students make them! Our teachers come up with the recipe and our students make the cake on a rotating basis.

Today, Mrs. Gaby's middle schoolers made carrot cake with cream cheese icing for Juan's 14th birthday. Check out those adorable handmade fondant carrots! 🥕

By celebrating birthdays, our students learn that they are marvelous creations, created in the image of God!

Vamos Alison!

Today is round two of our first ever Bible Drill. Alison is reciting DOZENS of verses from memory, many from the Gospel of John. We are so proud of you, Alison!

At Chispas of Change, our students guard God's Word in their hearts every single day for years. What a priceless gift. Thank you to our generous supporters who make this possible.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God."
- Philippians 4:6

We are so grateful for our prayer team! 🙏 We have seen God answer so many prayers this year. And yet, there are always many concerns we continue to lift up to the Father. Thank you for joining us in prayer for these precious children.

Every month, we send out a prayer calendar with specific requests. If you would like to join our prayer team, send us a message.

Each week, our teachers receive Guatemalan Sign Language classes taught by our friends Emilio and Carol.

Our teachers share the new signs with their students so that everyone can communicate with our sweet deaf student.

Please pray for our deaf student to follow Jesus, and for our students and staff to have the courage to engage with deaf people in our community. 🌟

9 NEW BELIEVERS BAPTIZED! 🌊✝️🌟

On Thursday, we had the immense joy of baptizing 9 new believers at Lake Atitlán surrounded by the entire Chispas of Change family. Eight students started following Jesus, along with a teacher's brother. What a glorious day!

Thank you for praying for our students. In spite of the broken world we live in, God is doing immeasurably more than all we could ask or imagine! 🙌

What was your favorite activity in PE Class growing up? 🏀🎾🎳

For many of our students, it's hiking!

Our teachers often lead their students on hikes up the surrounding mountains during PE Class in the afternoons. It's amazing to see how quickly our students grow in endurance. Several of our students have physical challenges, and they benefit from the encouragement and support of their classmates.

The Bible teaches us to "encourage one another and build each other up." What a privilege to watch our students do this during PE Class!

We recently received a generous donation of percussion instruments! 🥁🪇🎶 Our kindergartners and first graders are learning to keep the beat with Mr. Edgar.

Thank you to our donors for giving these precious children the opportunity to learn to worship the Lord through music!

7-year-old José likes Bluey, soccer, and pizza. He wants to be a truck driver when he grows up. He and his big sister Karen are new students this year and have perfect attendance! What a joy to watch them learn and grow closer to Jesus each day.

Would you like to sponsor José this year? Check out our website to start investing in his future today!
