What a fantastic evening at our Centennial Kickoff Social!

We had such a fun night filled with fellowship, laughter, and celebration as we officially kicked off the Shelby Rotary Club’s 100th year anniversary. It was incredible to come together with fellow members and friends to honor a century of service and impact.

Here’s to 100 years of making a difference, and many more to come!

Great week at Rotary this week! PDG Allen Langley inducted Tony Berry into Shelby Rotary Club. We are excited to have Tony in our club! As part of our membership program, we had two Rotarians talk more about themselves so we can get to know them better.

This time, Stan Anthony talked about his musical memories. Then Fred Blackley gave the history of his grandfather and father’s involvement in Rotary which has so deeply influenced Fred’s dedication to the club.

📆 Join Feeding Kids Cleveland County for a day of Thanks & Giving on Saturday, November 22 throughout the day!

1. Thanksgiving Break deliveries will take place in the morning and early afternoon hours between 8:30am and 1:00pm. This past Friday was a wonderful meeting at Shelby Rotary Club. We heard from Clifford's Army Rescue who provided us with a great program on their mission and current projects/fundraisers.

We had the honor of inducting one of our newest members: Amy Allen from Habitat For Humanity and our very own Margie Christopher was awarded Paul Harris Fellow +2! Make sure to thank both of these wonderful Rotarians the next time you see them!

What a great day to be a Rotarian. Tonight was our Year End Banquet at Cleveland Country Club. We gathered with friends and family as President Brad Cornwell opened his last meeting of the Rotary Year and handed the gavel over to our new President for 2025-2026, Bryon Gragg!

We also installed the new officers for the coming year and Margie Christopher won the Bobby G. Smith Distinguished Rotarian of the Year award.

A huge thank you to Brad and everyone who made this such a great year for Rotary. We are excited to see where our amazing club goes over the coming year!

Recently, Shelby Rotary Club helped Feeding Kings Cleveland County with preparing boxes and bags of food for summer deliveries.

Thanks to the generosity of so many Rotarians, Shelby Rotary Club President, Brad Cornwell and Emily Arey delivered needed summer program supplies to Tropzie McCluney with the Community Math Academy this morning. In addition to the supplies, a donation was also made directly to the Community Math Academy. The Community Math Academy helps students in grades 3rd through 8th develop a positive attitude toward math, increases math skills, and strengthens math concepts.

Recently, our Rotary Youth Exchange Student, Tomas Jeronimo Muñoz Ortega gave a presentation to the club speaking about his year here in America. Here are some pictures from his last week with us at the Club.

This past Monday, members of Shelby Rotary Club volunteered at Feeding Kids Cleveland County! We helped pack granola bar bags for an upcoming food delivery.

Thanks to Emily, Michael, Joe, Margie, Randy, Gerry, and Robert for volunteering their time to help those in need here in Cleveland County!
