One month countdown! To help get you pumped up, we'll be sharing bits and pieces of our schedule and updates.

So, let's kick it off with BIG news! The Metropolitan Planning Organization for Richland County Area gave us a grant that we get to share with you. Come to the festival to discover how you could win one of these 26" bicycles (1 red and 2 black)! We were also awarded the opportunity to provide safety equipment, which will be available on Saturday morning at the Bike Clinic.

We are so excited for our collaboration with A Royal Princess Party to bring a FREE magical meet-and-greet opportunity on Saturday from 4-8 p.m.

Attendees have the opportunity to meet with, share warm hugs, and take photos with their favorite Princesses. Children are encouraged and welcomed to wear costumes.

Registrtion for the 2026 Kiddie King and Queen is now open.

Contestants must be Pre-K through First Grade during the 2026-2027 school year. Kiddie Queen and King contestants will be narrowed to three final contestants in each category (Queen and King) based on final cash votes. The final contestants will be selected by the public through a Facebook contest.

Winners will be notified after voting is closed on Thursday, July 9, 2026 via phone and will ride in the annual Shelby Bicycle Days Parade on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 2 PM.

The online form must be submitted by Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

Voting Windows:

Phase One - Online Donation: Sunday, June 21 to Sunday, July 5 at 6 PM

Phase Two - Social Media Vote: Monday, July 6 to Thursday, July 11 at 6 PM (purchased likes on Facebook are not permitted and will be excluded from the total vote)

Entry Fee: No fee is required for the Kiddie King and Queen Contest.

Prize: Kiddie King and Queen, with each receiving a $50 gift card and a crown.
