Happy Meet the Team Monday!

Below is a note from our Prayer Team Leader and one of our upper elementary teachers, Julie Thornton. We are so thankful for her willingness to serve and share her many talents with our students and staff!

Hi, I'm Julie! I have helped out with Lifewise for 2 years. One of my friends asked me if I would consider teaching, and the rest is history. Lifewise has deeply shaped my prayer life. Through the curriculum, I’ve learned the power of praying specifically—just like Abraham’s servant did when seeking a godly wife for Isaac. The children’s simple, trusting faith and the middle schoolers’ honest questions have sharpened me, like iron sharpening iron, pushing me to grow daily in my walk with God.

We want to put the same emphasis on PRAYING over this year! After you drop off your students for the first day of school, meet us in the back part of the YMCA parking lot to cover the Shelby City Schools in prayer! See flyer for details.
