One meaningful way members can find connection is through iaedp Special Interest Groups (SIGs) or communities of practice. SIGs provide opportunities for deeper engagement for members seeking connection, learning, belonging, or a way to give back to the profession.

Membership in a SIG is open to all iaedp Foundation members with an interest in the group’s focus. SIGs or communities of practice are more than discussion groups they are spaces where members can connect, learn, contribute, and feel part of a professional community committed to advancing eating disorders care.

If you are interested in a SIG, you are encouraged to explore the iaedp event calendar, participate in upcoming SIG and community of practice programs, share expertise, and consider how these communities can support their professional journey while advancing the collective work of the iaedp Foundation.

Food safety is important. So is food fear. For many people with eating disorders, particularly those with ARFID, OCD-related presentations, or significant food anxiety concerns about contamination, ingredients, or food handling are not quirks. They are clinically significant barriers to nourishment and recovery. On World Food Safety Day, iaedp recognizes practitioners working to understand and address the full complexity of how people relate to food.

Most peer-reviewed clinical journals cost hundreds of dollars a year in subscription fees. Eating Disorder Review costs nothing.

Published four times annually by the iaedp™ Foundation, EDR is a peer-reviewed clinical journal covering the latest research, tools, and best practices in the eating disorders field — written and reviewed by the clinicians and researchers doing the work. It is freely available to every practitioner, student, and researcher who needs it, regardless of membership status or institution.

The research doesn't have to cost you anything. Every issue, past and present, is waiting at the link below.

Today is World Eating Disorders Action Day, and the theme says it all: Stop Stigma. Start Care. Together.

Stigma is a clinical barrier. When eating disorders are dismissed as choices or failures, people wait to ask for help, and outcomes suffer. The professionals in our community know better. Today, we're asking everyone to show it.

Share something today. Your why. Your work. Your truth.
