April Traylor is a third-generation Laborer. Her father introduced her to the union and helped her get her start at the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant.

A member of Local 366, she spent 15 years in the field and has carried a LIUNA card for 18. Today she's an organizer specializing in nuclear and energy projects.

April sees women at every stage of life coming into the trades to build better futures for themselves. It's a career that has changed her own life for the better.

She heads to Tradeswomen Build Nations for the fellowship with her LIUNA sisters and tradeswomen from other crafts. For her, the conference is a place to develop leaders and bring more women into the building trades.
