Members of the Lorain County Imagination Library Coalition gather quarterly to learn from experts, nonprofit leaders, and community members who are advancing early childhood literacy across our region. These conversations help shape local efforts and strengthen the collective work to ensure every child has access to books and the opportunity to succeed.

At their most recent meeting, coalition members heard from Cleveland Kids' Book Bank Executive Director Natalie Friedl and Community Outreach Lead Mahogani Graves, who shared how their organization is expanding access to books for children across Greater Cleveland. Their insights offered valuable perspective on what it takes to build strong, sustainable literacy initiatives that reach families where they are.

Investing in early literacy is one of the most powerful ways to create opportunity for children, and the Lorain County Imagination Library plays a key role in that work locally. These age-appropriate book guides are an extension of what's provided on the inside cover of our books. Caregivers can incorporate new questions and fun activities during their next story time to strengthen their child's early literacy skills.

A huge thank you to the amazing preschoolers in LaGrange who raised over $1,500 in just 4 days to support the Lorain County Imagination Library! Your generosity will help put even more books into the hands of children across our community.

We are also grateful to the Educational Service Center of Lorain County for helping make this opportunity possible and supporting early literacy efforts in our region.

It’s inspiring to see young learners already making a big difference. Every dime truly helps bring the joy of reading to local families.
