Shoals CASA supports and promotes court appointed special advocates. CASA volunteers are an investigative tool for juvenile dependency court cases.

Shoals CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is committed to promoting awareness of child abuse and neglect within the Shoals area. We work diligently to provide trained volunteers to advocate for the best interest of children within the judicial system. CASA programs assist the juvenile/family court in carrying out its role in the child protective services system. Often being the "eyes and ears

of the court". CASA is the only volunteer organization that empowers everyday citizens as officers of the court. In an overburdened social welfare system, abused and neglected children often slip through the cracks among hundreds of current cases. Each volunteer cares for 1-2 cases at a time to ensure that each child is receiving the attention they deserve. Contact us today to find out how you can volunteer!

🍂❤️ Shoals CASA's 6th Annual Rogersville Gives Back Fall Festival is Coming Soon! ❤️🍂

Join us for a day of family fun while making a difference in the lives of local abused and neglected children throughout the Shoals area.

Every dollar raised through Rogersville Gives Back stays right here in our community, helping children who are facing some of the most difficult moments of their young lives. While many know us for helping provide Christmas gifts to children not served by other programs, our support doesn't stop there. Throughout the year, we help meet urgent needs as they arise and ensure children have caring adults advocating for their best interests.

Some days being a CASA advocate and volunteer looks like helping your assigned kid get their driver’s permit. It’s hard to remember that life keeps moving when you’ve gone through some of the trauma and challenges that these kids have. Having someone there who will pay attention and offer support could be just the game changer they need.

Good Sunday.

Today is a great day to set aside time for worship and also a great day to share about CASA. We are actively seeking to share our Shoals CASA mission with local churches and very soon you you will hear our local outreach on 91.4 the WFix.. so be encouraged to take time and honor God today and also look around your church family for people you feel have a heart and commitment to helping children and families right here in the Shoals area. Together we can help more children and in doing so help make our community stronger and most importantly share the love of God with those who need His encouragement the most 🙏

🎉 Volunteer Spotlight & Birthday Celebration 🎉

This month, we are proud to recognize Shoals CASA Advocate Chad Tally and celebrate his upcoming birthday on June 30th!

Chad began his CASA journey in May 2025 after spending several years fostering children. His passion for helping children who have experienced abuse and neglect continues through his advocacy work with Shoals CASA.

When asked why he became a CASA, Chad shared:

"I wanted to continue helping children who are abused and neglected after fostering for several years. I chose CASA because I feel that as a CASA I can help make a positive influence in the children's lives while also bringing attention to their case by asking questions and advocating for them and their needs. If you are considering becoming a CASA, I would encourage you to do it! It can be so rewarding when you see positive changes and growth in the kids and know you played a small part in it."

Thank you, Chad, for your servant's heart, dedication, and commitment to being a voice for children in our community. Your advocacy is making a difference, one child at a time.

Today we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a time to reflect on the sacrifices made for the freedoms we enjoy every day.

As we gather with family and friends, may we never forget those who paid the ultimate price and the loved ones who continue to carry their memory forward.

Shoals CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) invites local churches to partner with us in serving vulnerable children in the foster care system. This is home missions at its finest—loving, serving, and advocating for children right where God has planted us.

What Is CASA?

CASA volunteers are trained advocates appointed by a judge to stand up for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

CASA is similar to foster care, but children do NOT live in your home

Advocates speak up for a child’s best interest in court, school, and the community

You are a consistent, caring adult voice in a child’s life
