💙 CASA Advocate Challenge & Success Spotlight

Recently, I asked our CASA Advocates to share one challenge they’ve experienced in their work and one success that reminds them why they continue to serve.

Our Advocate Tracy Mitchell shared this:

💔 Challenge:
“Getting my heart to reconcile that not every child will have a perfect ending, but that we can help them get the best outcome of the options available.”

💙 Success:
“A grandmother in a former case of mine sent me a first-day-of-school photo. Not because she was required to, but because she knows I truly cared about her grandchild.”

This is CASA.

We may not always get the ending we hoped and prayed for, but we can make sure a child has someone beside them—advocating, caring, and fighting for the best possible outcome.

And sometimes, long after a case closes, a simple first-day-of-school picture reminds an Advocate that the relationship they built and the love they showed mattered. 💙

Thank you, Tracy, for giving your heart to the children and families you serve. That lasting connection is what CASA advocacy is all about.
