Join us, next Thursday, August 6th, at Trent's Joint on the River where Fraternal Order of Police, Lorain Lodge #3 will be the bartenders! The foundation will also be present to sell challenge coins and pass out free stickers. The Suckling Pig BBQ food truck will be there to serve any hungry patrons!

This afternoon, the foundation delivered a check to Chief Shows of the Rittman Police Department to give to Sgt. Scott Ries' family. This check was made possible by donors to the foundation and sponsors of our recent fundraising event. We will continue to host or be involved in local events to raise awareness and funds to further our mission. Donations and proceeds from fundraising events will go towards our Line of Duty Death Fund for fallen Ohio law enforcement and our LCCC Police Academy Scholarship.

While money cannot replace Sgt. Ries, it is the least we can do to show our appreciation and gratitude for his service and to help ease some of the financial burdens that losing a loved one brings.

Rest easy brother. We have it from here.

This past Friday, the foundation hosted a private memorial event to honor and remember Phil on the one year anniversary of his passing. This event could not have been possible without our sponsors and we would like to take a minute to recognize their contribution to the foundation and the Lorain Police Department family.

We would like to thank Todd Walsh, Rosalina Walsh, and The Cleveland Police Foundation for inviting us to the 2nd Annual Officer Down Softball Tournament yesterday, honoring Phil and helping support Phil's family. We are still new to this venture and trying to raise awareness about our foundation. It was an honor to be a part of this for the day. All proceeds and donations from yesterday are going directly to our Family Mission fund, which was designed to help take care of Phil's family.

Today, we honor and mourn the passing of our fallen brother that occurred one year ago. We will remember him for who he was as a man and how he lived. We hope that we can properly carry on his legacy and represent everything he stood for. We will never forget your sacrifice.

Please keep Phil's wife and children in your prayers during this difficult time. It has been absolutely incredible and inspiring to witness her strength and resilience over this past year.

The Phil Wagner Foundation will be making a donation to the family of Sgt. Scott Ries in the very near future. Unfortunately, after reviewing current financials, we are unable to afford the amount that we would like to give his family at this time, given that we are still very new and only ten months into this venture. We have big plans for the foundation as it grows but we need your help.

Anyone who is interested in making a donation to the Ries family, can do so through the link in this post. This is a link specifically set up by our foundation and 100% of the donations made through this link will go toward the Ries family. We will be making a donation from funds that we have already raised over the past ten months but any donations raised through this link will be added onto that existing donation.
