RAYS Youth Services, a program of Foundations Health & Wholeness, serves youth (ages 10-21) and their families as they navigate the challenges of the tween and teen years. We provides no-cost prevention, outreach, and intervention services including:

Street Outreach
Youth Events
Runaway Follow Up
Youth Groups
Presentations
Referrals to community members that can help w

Teens run away from home for a variety of reasons, most commonly its due to unresolved conflict caused by misunderstandings, lack of communication, and differences over roles, rules and expectations at home. 🎒✨ One Stop School Shop at the Kroc Center!

We had a great time connecting with kids, parents, and caregivers today! Kids got creative making keychains 🔑, while parents and caregivers could choose a positive “Take What You Need” inspiration clip to take with them. 💛

The start of a new school year can be exciting, but it can also bring stress for kids and parents. Sometimes, a few encouraging words are just what we need. 🧡

Michaela Bunch is the Program Coordinator for Foundations Youth Services in the Lakeshore area. Through the Youth Services program Michaela supports unaccompanied youth, unhoused youth and young adults, and youth experiencing or at risk of human trafficking. She has been working in the social services field for the last five years and is dedicated to providing quality person-centered and trauma-informed care. Michaela believes in providing youth a space to feel empowered to make self-identified goals and build skills to combat the risk of homelessness and trafficking. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and two cats. You can usually find Michaela taking photos or enjoying books in all forms.

Human trafficking is happening in Wisconsin, and it may not look the way many people expect.

In 2024, The National Human Trafficking Hotline cited Wisconsin had 111 confirmed human trafficking cases. This included labor trafficking, s*x trafficking, and cases involving both forms of exploitation.

Awareness is one of the most powerful tools we have to prevent exploitation. By learning the warning signs, having conversations with our youth, and staying informed, we can help protect vulnerable individuals in our communities.

Together, we can create safer communities through education, prevention, and support for survivors.
