Happy June meeting!
May have been a long one.. but, we accomplished a lot!
We had Jason the senator president of Wisconsin JCI Senate come and share the importance and what a senatorship is.
Then we had Tom from Seven Ages Theatricals come and talk a minute about his theater troop. Also, gave out the big check with Berta's winnings from the March Madness. A little back story- We do March Madness and each put in $10 per bracket. The winner gets to pick a charity or nonprofit of their choice. Berta won both!
After that we did a couple elections. Friends election was neck in neck, definitely a very hard choice between Ashley and Jodie for Friends president. In the end Jodie was victorious. We still love Ashley!
In the Foundation election, we had 3 spots open for a 3 year term. These were awarded to Vanessa, Cassie, and Izzy, with Mychal taking the 2 year spot. The after meeting decided the fates of the foundation board- Cassie- president, Izzy-VP, Vanessa- secretary, and Dustin- treasurer.
Then we had some awards due! Starting with Jaycee of the month Logan for April, and Kyle for May. The Meisters hats were given to Beth and Jodie!! To clarify the Meister awards are for behind the scenes people, doing maybe simple things but equally important.
We also gave out $750 for Sharon for her Sheboygan Music Hall of Fame to help her continue to honor Sheboygan musicians.
Finally we officially added Angel to our ranks by swearing her in!!
The lingering Jaycees that remained in the late hours then entertained Berta at her Passport training! Yay Passport! Let's get everyone on this!!
