Sheboygan County Conservation Association

Sheboygan County Conservation Association To serve the outdoor community, protect & maintain habitat, educate & provide opportunities for all to enjoy the great outdoors

We are a coalition of 27 sport fishing, hunting, and trapping clubs, as well as others with an environmental slant. The association is very active in the educational field, holding various events and sessions to teach beginners the ways of hunting, fishing, and trapping, and above all, conservation codes and ethics. Come browse through our site and see what we’re about, what we do, and how we go a

bout it. And always feel free to contact us via email or by using our contact page. Check out our calendar and we invite you to attend a function that we host or participate in. Come and visit some of the clubs mentioned here, most are always looking for new members. Or just let us know your concerns regarding Wisconsin’s great outdoor heritage.

The Sheboygan County Conservation Association has kicked off a new project where we will be having a lifejacket loaner box located at all Sheboygan County Boat Launches. Over the summer we are hoping to get all launches covered. The purpose of these boxes is to provide life jackets for boaters to use in case of a forgotten or lost lifejacket. We ask that if you borrow one, please return it to the box when you come off of the water. Boater safety is our highest priority when it comes to enjoying your time on the water.
This program is funded by the Sheboygan County Conservation Association as well as all of the Conservation Clubs of Sheboygan County. To get involved with Conservation efforts, please look into supporting or joining a local conservation club.
We are always looking for donations to keep this program alive and growing. If you or someone you know has any extra (new or used) lifejackets that they'd like to donate to this program please either feel free to drop them off in a lifejacket loaner box at a boat launch or contact the Sheboygan County Conservation Association and we'll be happy to make arrangements.
Enjoy the water, practice boater safety and help Sheboygan County and the DNR continue to have some of the nicest and friendliest boat launches in Wisconsin.

What can we say....yet another Sheboygan County Conservation Association Sponsored Youth Turkey Hunt ends with success. The mentors that volunteer their time and landowners that volunteer and donate their land truly make this program a true treasure and pride of the SCCA.
We can go on about what getting the youth and new hunters out to experience Turkey hunting and nature means to us....but here is what it's really all about. Written and posted by the Mom of one of our successful hunters this year. Couldn't have expressed our passions any better! (Also....check out all those smiles and new friends made)

Not your typical mother-daughter weekend. 🦃

The SCCA Mentor Turkey Hunt 2026 in Wood County gave Harper the opportunity to harvest her very first turkey and what a bird it was. Weighing 28.63 lbs with a 10.5" beard and 1" spurs, it was an incredible moment that we will never forget.

We are beyond grateful to the Sheboygan County Conservation Association for hosting such a special event and creating opportunities like this for the youth. And to our mentors Cole Binversie, Dennis Stuckman, and Matt Kohlmann thank you for your patience, guidance, and for sharing your knowledge so generously. You made this experience what it was.

This weekend wasn’t just about the harvest. It was about early mornings, quiet moments in the woods, lessons learned, laughter shared, and friendships that were just beginning. Watching Harper stay focused, put in the effort, and fully embrace every part of the experience was amazing and made me incredibly proud.

Being there beside her learning, growing, and experiencing it all together is something I’ll carry with me forever. This is just the beginning of many more hunts and memories to come.

Truly a weekend we’ll never forget. ❤️
